HistoryOfMoneyBankingTradePod @devinem.bsky.social · 27/03/2026There were many different reasons for stock market crash in 1929. One of them was loads of private credit flowing into Wall Street for stock leverage. This current Private Credit crisis is different but it will most certainly hurt the stock market as credit dries up while people hoard dollars. 000

HistoryOfMoneyBankingTradePod @devinem.bsky.social · 19/03/2026As it should be. HistoryOfMoneyBankingTradePod @devinem.bsky.social · 12/02/2026I wonder if the AI bubble gets pricked by millions of people demanding a stop to data center buildout. Data centers employ like 100 full time employees while sucking up extreme power and water usage. If the rentiers want centers, then they pay for utilities all by themselves w/out taxpayer subsidy 020
HistoryOfMoneyBankingTradePod @devinem.bsky.social · 12/02/2026Not to say it was the direct result in the market crashes in October ‘29 but for months prior, significant portions of credit went to speculators, not the “real economy”. When prices dropped, margins called piled on, driving prices down even further, as speculators had to sell to pay back lenders. 000

HistoryOfMoneyBankingTradePod @devinem.bsky.social · 04/02/2026I blame very low interest rates. These low rates meant the rentier class was able to borrow vast sums of money (much easier than younger adults) and buy up a significant share of single family homes. HistoryOfMoneyBankingTradePod @devinem.bsky.social · 28/01/2026It’s amazing how many people in the middle of October 1929 told everyone how great the stock market is. HistoryOfMoneyBankingTradePod @devinem.bsky.social · 28/01/2026We all know inflation is really 3.0%. You can’t lower rates at this point. Furthermore, the elites want low rates so they can swoop in and buy more assets cheaply, furthering income inequality. I’m on the side that very low interest rates harm the middle class in the long run. 030
