It’s the final few hours of the campaign! I want to take a moment to thank every single person who has made this book possible. I’m so excited to bring it to life! 6 hours to go! www.kickstarter.com/projects/dev...

It’s definitely bots sometimes. But in my experience it’s just as often real people who mistake artistic choices for signs of AI

My Instagram/youtube/tiktok have dozens of process videos

000

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Awww wow thanks so much!! I’m happy you like it!

010

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

It’s very possible. And I’m definitely not helping anything by getting visibly frustrated by it. It’s hard to navigate!

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Thank you so much for the support!! 🙏🏻

010

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Tbh this may make serious accusers more suspicious and lead them to make a separate accusation post ): I’d rather duke it out in the comments section of my own posts I think. It makes a lot of sense though I appreciate the suggestion!

070

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

I think you’re right. People are angry, for legitimate reasons (and sometimes less legitimate ones) and strangers on the internet seem like a good receptacle for it

060

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Really resonant. I’m so worried for the future

000

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

If you can believe it, this comment is on TikTok where they could easily find a process video pinned for the exact piece they’re accusing 🥲 thank you Victoria! It just proves to me that it will happen to anybody at this point. Doesn’t matter what kind of track record you have.

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

🫂🫂 means a lot dude. Thank you

010

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Man I’m really sorry to hear that. It sucks so much having to play defense constantly

130

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

That definitely plays a role, but I’m getting these comments from plenty of real people too, I’ve scoped out their profiles. They don’t understand the severity of the accusations they’re flippantly making. AI saturation has trained them to disbelieve everything

040

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

That means a lot dude thank you. Really 🙏🏻🫶

030

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Hahahaha I’ll take those comments any day over AI!! They may have meant the mainline Warriors books? Since I illustrated for a new series! :)

000

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Tiring is the perfect word for it. And I agree, having to double and triple check every unfamiliar image and video is exhausting too. It sucks from both directions

040

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Thank you Tanisha! It’s seriously surreal. It’s gotten so much worse in recent months

020

Devin Elle Kurtz @devinellekurtz.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

It’s a complete kneejerk response that a huge swath of people seem to have to any digital art now. And no inclination to do an ounce of research!
