Y'all! I took my first truly nice looking product photos today!!! This is just one example, but the rest came out nice too. Took me about a month of fiddling and watching videos, but I made it! And now my Etsy shop is open too... only one product for now; it's something to build on! #mimaker

One of the coolest parts of my job is getting to see (and help) all the pollinators that visit our plants. We've already protected and released 20+ Monarch and Swallowtail butterflies this year, and we still have a few caterpillars in tents.

One of the most frustrating thoughts/feelings that keep coming up as I work on my handmade business is that I need to go faster or do more. I mean, a huge part of why I made this change was to stop constantly being under pressure for arbitrary, meaningless deadlines.

Stitching together some books for my upcoming shows. Fiddled with this one a bit to get the "X" stitch. It's nothing new in bookbinding, though I've never done it before and am proud of myself for taking the time to figure it out instead of looking it up. #bookbinding #maker #miart

Working on some handmade books. So far I have the signatures made, the fabric prepped for the covers, and the book board cut out. Being creative has always been something that grounds me, and it's more important in my life than ever.
