Not sure I can get too excited about a McNulty victory, will say though that Matteo Jorgenson has been an outstanding teammate in this race

Incidentally, a stage this chaotic also makes a really strong argument for gps tracking of all riders from a fan/racing perspective as well as a safety argument. Instead of relying on race radio trying to spot and relay every bib number up the road!

Lots of talk (rightfully) about Sepp Kuss suddenly knocking on the door of the podium but Guillaume Martin-Guyonnet is (I think) still ahead of him both on the stage and GC!

Really good piece by @ryanmallon.bsky.social . Can’t stress enough there’s no evidence of doping within any UAE squad, but the association of both the men’s and women’s teams with individuals like Napolitano doesn’t help anyone (the team, fans’ trust or the athletes who are questioned on this)

With Ilan Van Wilder’s withdrawal from a crash, what little excitement remained in the top 10 battle was also wiped out. Incidentally the 33 minutes from 1st to 10th is one of the biggest since… last year.

All change in the Tour de France’s most important battle, with Carapaz sweeping into the top-10 (apparently he won something else today) whilst Piganzoli fell out of contention. Can Voisard recover or Van Wilder steal a march for a famous result? Or could a Pinot-esque collapse elsewhere save them?

Callum Devereux @devereuxcallum.bsky.social · 22/07/2026
Philipsen this, Pedersen that. The big story of today has got to be Jordan Jegat double locking his top-10 on GC, gaining nearly nine whopping minutes on his rivals. Can Van Wilder, Carapaz or Piganzoli wrestle the last place on the first page from Voisard?

I’m convinced Jonas Vingegaard is the second best rider in the race, yet every tactical decision seems to make life so much more difficult. Wasting riders in the break working for Pidcock, leading out Pogacar, completely unprepared/unwilling to sprint in finales to even close gaps. I don’t get it…
