If you use iPhone and translate a lot by selecting text on images, do yourself a favor and set in Settings -> Default Apps -> Translation App something other than iOS Translator app - it’s terrible even for English, not mentioning other languages. DeepL or Google Translate will serve you well

Finally have a good reason to unsubscribe. Never subscribed to it - the whole list of subscribers was bought out from other resource. Then it started gaining popularity and posting 1 ad per issue. Then promote their courses 🫠. Now they just throw 2-3 ads per issue in your face easily. And now this…
ui.dev and Fireship are joining forces.
That means we'll be working together on Fireship videos, courses, the Bytes newsletter, and other developer content.

That’s how you reach out with an interesting role opportunity, hat off. Short, challenge & expectations clear, salary range in email title! Beautiful 🫶
We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to own a high-volume JavaScript SDK that sits at the very front of the data pipeline. It’s the first thing developers integrate, and it has to be:

• exceptionally lightweight (tree-shaken, lazy-loaded, minimal footprint)
• cross-browser reliable (modern + legacy behaviour, edge cases, service workers, CSP/CORS constraints)
• privacy-aware by design (consent handling, cookies, storage limitations)
• fault-tolerant under real-world conditions (network instability, retries, offline mode)

The role is a mix of architecture, performance engineering, and developer experience. You’d be defining the standards for how thousands of applications collect and forward user events - and your code ends up embedded inside customer products, not just on the backend.
If that blend of scale, browser nuance, and craftsmanship aligns with what you enjoy, I’d love to share more context.

Kind regards,

How to say "You should Instantly uninstall our browser" without saying that? Correct — to share the news that you've been acquired by Atlassian 🤷‍♂️
Some shitty news from The Browser Company of them being acquired by Atlassian, haha

Dear kids, seems like React is such an old piece of technology in modern UI world, that a lot of you may never heard of the name Jordan Walke, but that's the guy who created React and other cool stuff. Not Sebastian, with all respect. And it should be Markbåge, I assume 😉

Machine said it's word — "A-" for my late evening PR, one minor comment for 13 changed files or 200 LoC 😌 You can pick Copilot in a list of GitHub Reviewers now. How we all lived without it...
