DBZ was peakin’ at the time too. AND they didn’t have $#!T to capitalize on the movement with except for a weird live action movie that flopped. If people were into DBZ, they were also probably into anime AND drawing characters & writing stories.

Will SGA & OKC fall into the Jokic/Nuggets & Giannis/Bucks/career legacy of 1 time champ, elite player, but non-team success obscurity? 3 strong seasons, but OKC has only been to the actual NBA Finals once, & Minnesota was in the WCF in 2024, NOT OKC 🙃 #NBASky 🖕🏾 Bluesky, it’s broken.

👁 feel like RDJ’s appearance as Doom will be an allegory of how Hollywood clears the board on super hero franchises. AND this is the board that hasn’t been cleared yet #FilmSky #MCU

000

DeuceZ; David J. Benson @deucez.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

The popular characters are in Spider-Man, off planet, dead or haven’t been introduced. They put expiring 20 year X-Men/MCU vets & the low selling comic heroes Thanos sent them h0e$ somewhere else, Doom finna get these h03$ up outta here fr

And it makes sense for Doom to have the most iconic look for this film. Based on that alone, he’s probably gonna turn everything inside out, 🖕🏾 everything up #Doomsday #Filmsky

Avengers this time around and parts of Deadpool & Wolverine look like Comic-Con (but of course 👁’m just going off the previews). Infinity Saga was beautiful & costumes were 🔥 Will be hard to top, but everyone has to know RDJ is really going to carry this film over for it to live up to expectations

100

DeuceZ; David J. Benson @deucez.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

Black Panther is probably still the most iconic costumes for overall cast and of course Black Panther (Chadwick), Shuri’s is cool too

110

DeuceZ; David J. Benson @deucez.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

F4 was amazing (again NOT an Avengers’ film). 👁 think Gambit’s designed worked in Deadpool, but it really feels strange in the MCU & even in the X-Men universe…Did they let Channing Tatum design that. Also, NOT a big Channing Tatum Gambit fan, but it seemed like a good comedic feat for his debut

110

DeuceZ; David J. Benson @deucez.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

For awhile YOU could say some of this about X-Men, it was hard to give Wolvie an iconic look when they keep bringing out the ALL black. Deadpool & Wolverine gave us an iconic costume simply based on the iconic costume

110

DeuceZ; David J. Benson @deucez.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

AND 👁’m nitpicking, AND NOT dissing Marvel’s costume department, but when YOU think of any superhero film, the first thing YOU want to connect is the iconic uniform (it’s cinema NOT a play), they finally have that again with Dr. Doom in Doomsday.

100

DeuceZ; David J. Benson @deucez.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

AND YOU will surely find great examples because there’s so much media, but 👁 think most of that will come from series & characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther (and many other characters that are just too hard to butcher)
