Our friend Lynette was kind enough to write a story about us and our practice for the CBC. So read it and learn more about how we can be a help here in the Bay Roberts area. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Since moving back to Newfoundland, I’ve been doing some songwriting. It’s weird - I’m a bass player, I don’t do this stuff. But I’ve got to try and put it out there so, here goes!! This is the chorus to a song called Anderson’s Cove.

What’s the over-under on Trump walking out of the Oval with $1billion in stolen funds? The $230 million from justice is a decent start.

Since moving back to Newfoundland I’ve been doing a little song writing. This just happens to be the first recording I’m halfway happy with :) it’s a holiday/winter tune that I’d love to play out someday soon. on.soundcloud.com/RX643dmLJkHG... #singersongwriter #holidaymusic #christmasmusic

Yup, that's me - at 23:32 or so. Last week when I was at the CBC Studios for The Signal, I got to record a quick question for the provincial leaders' debate. I was disappointed that neither of the leaders addressed my question! www.youtube.com/live/3y5k_ig...

Take: the events this week with #kirk will lead to either the end of the US democracy or the end of the evangelical church.

Love this photo from a set with Haley in St John’s. There’s so much going on here but it comes together in a beautiful image.

A style photograph of model Haley who has brown hair sitting on a gray couch while wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Apparently #Gretzky is at the Capitals game tonight with Kash Patel, removing all doubt that his support of Canada is out the window. It was a nice run, used to be great one.

Desmond Smith gave @7cupscommunity.bsky.social a 1 star via Trustpilot trstp.lt/ax7ZIAlCUV I don't know if they're well meaning or not but 7 Cups, unfortunately, has self-sabotaged any sense of trust with the #mentalhealth community by using our data without consent.

In order for #Trumps tariffs to work, he needs the rest of the world to have American values of individualism and dogmatic capitalism. The rest of the world does not. That’s his critical error. That’s why this fails. That’s why America is in trouble.

000

Desmond Smith @desmondsmith.ca · 03/04/2025

Trump has made a career of wasting other people’s money for his own gain. Liberation Day is just the next iteration of this. At everyone’s expense but his.

“The old relationship we had with the United States based on deepening integration of our economies and tight security and military cooperation is over,” he said. PM Carney I couldn't agree more.

“Could be the signal wasn’t very good.” Yeah. Could be.

Even if you're of the opinion that Trump is a 5D chess-playing genius (he's not... but even if....), the team around him are oafish and bumbling at best. They can still do damage. But they're dumb.

000

Desmond Smith @desmondsmith.ca · 05/03/2025

Can you imagine the absolute the eruption of Canadian cheers at the singing of The Star Spangled Banner under a new US president?? It's gonna be epic.

000

Desmond Smith @desmondsmith.ca · 05/03/2025

Also because it’s dangerous.

000

Desmond Smith @desmondsmith.ca · 05/03/2025

This is one of the differences between Canada and the US. People here can disagree in general and give props for specifics. Your countrymen are not the enemy even when you don’t agree.

000

Desmond Smith @desmondsmith.ca · 05/03/2025

There’s a clown show of epic proportions playing out down south. But if you listen to them, they’re telling you everything you need to know. This is straight out of the Musk playbook. Break everything then fix the things you can’t do without. Crash the market then fix it and claim credit. Dumb.

000

Desmond Smith @desmondsmith.ca · 28/02/2025

It’s today. It’s that shit show of a spectacle in the Oval Office. It’s doing any small thing to stand up for Zelensky. That’s why we dont say boo’d your anthem.

It's time to move on from asking the question "Will the US become Fascist?" and begin asking "How Fascist will the US become?"

010

Desmond Smith @desmondsmith.ca · 26/02/2025

“I’m not stopping the tariffs,” Trump told reporters as he hosted the first cabinet meeting of his second term at the White House. Of course he's not stopping the tariffs. HE. CANNOT. BE. TRUSTED. #teamCanada - let's move on.

The “Carney can’t love our country and not live here” argument is a non-starter for me. My two decades in the US has caused me to love it more.

Part of the controversy in last nights Liberal leaders debate was that Carney and Freeland hugged at the end. I lived in the US for 22 years. I’ll take it.

Do I think #ElonMusk is evil? I'm undecided. I think he's wounded. I think he's traumatized. I think he's untrustworthy. I know he can't easily read people or judge the damage he's doing. I know he knows the significance of posting #14flags. I'm not sure he cares.
