Aymeric nods, satisfied - content. "Good. It does my heart good to hear that." He settles back behind his desk, picking his pen back up. "I hope your concerns for my well-being are assuaged?"

"I should be grateful of your company. It would help me keep awake." He chuckles, shaking his head a bit.

"Same as ever - I am always busy, and yet it feels not much changes." Aymeric rests his chin on his hand. "I think you would be able to tell me best. You leave the city in long enough stretches to notice changes upon your return. What have you noticed?"

"Then we had best be sure that does not happen, though I think it unlikely. Still...I would be a fool to let my guard down completely." Aymeric stifles another yawn, shivering at a particularly harsh gust of cold wind.

"Estinien! Tis good to see y-" He blinks, and then furrows his brow. "...no? Naught is amiss, I assure you. Ishgard is ever well, as am I."

"Please." Aymeric briefly held a hand over his mouth to stifle a yawn. "Tis probably for the best I not be alone at night - many people would be aghast if they found out I did such a thing, after the assassination attempt."

"Naught but my own perception of time, I'm afraid." He offers a smile that's genuine, if tired. "Fret not. I am on my way to a warm bed."

"Ah, Haurchefant...!" Aymeric smiles warmly in spite of his fatigue, crouching down and offering a gloved hand out to the baby birds. "And greetings to you as well, little ones..."

"Ah, Soren." Aymeric held back a yawn, pulling his coat tighter around his shoulders. "I lost track of the hour. I feel foolish for it, but there's naught for it now but to catch what sleep I can." A polite smile. "Tis an uncomfortably frigid hour to be awake."

Looks at the time, realizes it's three in the morning. "Fury's sake..." He stands up from his desk, rubbing at his eyes and putting everything away. He starts a cold, lonely walk back to his home to get a few hours of sleep. Lucia would never have let him lose track of time like that... But >>

I cannot help but find it amusing how often I am being 'reported' to in regards to Estinien - if he is seen so much as perusing a food stall in Thavnair, I am certain to hear of it within the hour. I am not *that* worried about him, my friends. You need not tell me his every move.

Putting aside the diplomatic issues with such a venture, we do not possess the technology to achieve such a thing. We have stoves, and fires. Attempting to implement the sort of thing you are suggesting would be wildly impractical.
