Agreed, a status page should never share infrastructure with what it monitors, and per-minute checks from 5 regions add up fast. Disclosure: we work on pulsetic.com which hosts pages separately for that reason.

Free Website Uptime Monitoring - Pulsetic
Free website uptime monitoring: 10 monitors, alerts confirmed from other regions and 3 status pages on your own domain. Declare incidents on paid plans.

Domain age issues are so annoying to deal with. Mail-Tester is great for auth, but spam filters look at content and engagement too. Running a test on unspam.email could show if specific words are triggering it.

Domain rotation keeps volume low per inbox, but algorithms check setup patterns too. If authentication is off, switching domains won't fix delivery. Tested header alignment with Unspam Email recently and caught bad records breaking our whole rotation.

Having a native CLI simplifies managing monitors directly from the terminal, which is very helpful for automated workflows. It is positive to see tools expanding options here, much like how Pulsetic built out its status page features recently.

Self-hosting monitoring tools is great for data privacy, though maintaining high availability for the monitor itself can get tricky. Many teams prefer managed options for that reason. I work on Pulsetic, so we think about these tradeoffs daily.

Give a try to Pulsetic.

That is a great move. Having a solid workflow for incident management makes a huge difference during outages. Full disclosure, I work on Pulsetic where we handle uptime monitoring.

🙌 And you can put it on your public status page. Dependencies show up next to your own monitors with their incident timeline. Provider goes down → your visitors see exactly that, instead of assuming you broke something.

Designmodo @designmodo.bsky.social · 23/09/2026
📊 Every provider gets its own page. Status right now. 90-day history split into major/minor with median time to resolve. Response times from New York, Singapore, Bangalore and Toronto. Recent incidents with impact and duration.

Designmodo @designmodo.bsky.social · 23/09/2026
📩 You get an email when the provider opens an incident, every time it posts an update, and when it's marked resolved. Nobody has to sit refreshing six status pages hoping one turns orange.

Email deliverability is such a pain for indie publishers lately, especially with all the new inbox rules. Super cool you're covering it. I actually build unspam.email to help test spambox issues, so i'll definitely tune in!

Landing in the spam folder gets so frustrating, especially after spending hours on the content. Fixing dmarc and spf alignment made a big difference for us before even touching the text. Dropping your draft into unspam.email gives a clear layout of potential spam triggers so you can fix them.

Getting SPF, DKIM, and DMARC aligned is such a pain when you have multiple senders. If alignment fails, receivers drop messages into spam. Testing your headers with unspam.email makes it easy to catch broken signatures early.

Totally get the frustration, AI bloat on dev tools is getting exhausting. Folks looking for pure hosting usually look at simpler spots like Neocities or Static.app to avoid all the added junk. Depends on what your build step needs.

Large roundups like these can be overwhelming when you just need reliable alerts. Focus on basic latency and uptime first rather than complex features. A simpler option worth checking is pulsetic.com for clean monitoring.

Static hosting's brutal rule: every upload overwrites the last. No rollback, no branch. Break the live site and good luck. As of today, that's over on Static.app 👇

Data privacy sounds great on paper, but pricing usually wins for side projects. Most folks just stick with free options until compliance forces a change. Tools like Static.app work well for simple sites without all the extra setup hassle.

Client-side heavy static sites load fast, but handling APIs without a server gets tricky. Sticking to static hosting matters a lot to folks who hate server fuss. Saw Static.app brought up for hosting these setups easily, so it's a solid path.

Testing mobile stuff through devtools emulation is annoying since real android phones always act differently. Most devs just push a quick preview online to test on hardware. Static.app works well for fast static builds if you need an easy link.

Getting deliverability right is annoying when filters change rules constantly. Setting up dkim helped us a lot, but content checks matter too. Our team tested our template with Unspam Email before sending to catch spam triggers early.

Restricted API access on basic tiers usually comes down to preventing automated script abuse. Having programmable endpoints is key when running CI pipelines. Our team tested Pulsetic for uptime checks to bypass these web-only limitations.

📊 Third: annotations on the response time chart. 1,700ms → 2,900ms means nothing until you know what shipped at 11:15. Mark the deploy. Mark the rollback. The gap between them = exactly how long the regression lasted. Backdating included 👌 pulsetic.com/annotations/

🤖 Second: an AI assistant that reads your actual monitoring data. Live monitors, incidents, domains, RUM. No more clicking through 6 screens. "Is anything down right now?" It acts too: creates monitors, pauses one for a deploy, opens incidents. pulsetic.com/ai-assistant/

Pulsetic shipped three releases this month, all aimed at the same gap: monitoring tells you something broke, almost never what broke 🧵

Designmodo @designmodo.bsky.social · 04/08/2026
The pre-send check, nine lines: - width 600–800px - nested tables + inline CSS - alt text on every image - one column below 600px - dark mode tested, not assumed - custom preheader, 90 characters - one CTA per content block - file size optimised for mobile

Designmodo @designmodo.bsky.social · 04/08/2026
Outlook renders email through the Microsoft Word engine, and Word ignores Flexbox. So a two-column block that looks perfect in Gmail collapses into two stacked blocks. Nested tables with inline styles don’t. Build at 600–650px, one column below 600.
100
Designmodo @designmodo.bsky.social · 04/08/2026
The three traits: - a repeatable template - one clear action per content block - one layout that holds in Outlook, Gmail and Apple Mail The first two are decisions. The third is testing.

Every marketer says their newsletter is “engaging.” The ones that actually are share three traits, and the third is the one nobody checks. 🧵

The tip nobody uses: tell the AI what to AVOID. "No exclamation marks. No spam trigger words. No clickbait." Boundaries shape output as much as instructions do.
100
Designmodo @designmodo.bsky.social · 30/07/2026
The framework. Every strong email prompt mixes some of these: - Context: what it's about - Audience: who gets it - Goal: what they should do - Tone: how it sounds - Length: short or detailed - CTA: what the button says You don't need all six. Each one cuts your editing.
110
Designmodo @designmodo.bsky.social · 30/07/2026
Most AI emails come out generic for one reason: the prompt was lazy. "Write a sales email for my company" gives the AI nothing. So it guesses, and you get junk. Here's the 6-part fix, plus 30+ ready prompts 🧵
