I am using this as a jumping off point for my own complaints. The cheap-ass "extra light" foam they are using on running shoes these days is a fucking scam. It is a cheaper material that falls apart faster, making a pair of shoes that used to last 3 years fall crumble away after only 9 months.

it's election day and there's important stuff on the ballot in many cities. i want to say as someone who's generally skeptical of the national election cycle and doesn't believe in electoralism as an end unto itself, voting in local elections is SO important. everything that matters happens locally.
