So for my day I said to myself, what would @gaijingoombah.bsky.social do? So at a customer appreciation sale (thank you Lazarus Games) I bought Samurai Mechs and Orks. (Also yes I just glue a base to another base, I tried removing them an it broke one model).

After practice and my shoulders and back are a little aching. But then again I fight with a five foot sword so it not surprising.

OK, been busy painting Warhammer 40k minis. Got a good foundation for my Kommandos and Hernkyn Yeagirs. So I'm ready to play.

Trust me, I know the feeling. Only lasted four hours in armor though. Shoulders get tired just walking and sitting.

Darren Eshenour @desh182.bsky.social · 15/09/2025

The equipment I used? My rapier sword, any my big green heater shield. Seen here. @jocat.net, I gave the sword and shield a good name that day.

I just turn 37 on June 10th. I'm still alive, fighting, and willing to keep going. I fought cancer twice, I fought through multiple pennsic battles. And I will not stop.

Hated that image with the first one. So lets try this one. My personal favorite is Con Air.

Looks at the tip at the sword and see the rubber tip on top.... You an SCA member aren't you? I know... I have a love of swords too.

OK, testing the arms I added to my gambeson, and putting on my chain mail shirt underneath my brigandine. I think that was a success.

Had a good time at Zenkaikon. Sadly did not get to see @ashleynichols.bsky.social @kovox.net or the other guests, but the lines were insane. Eh, I came out of it with two books. So maybe next time.
