metaphor and e33 are 2 recent examples of games that use this form of direction, and i really hope it catches on again. i often think of the ps1 final fantasy's when i have to think of very strong examples of this, where a lot of areas were beautifully crafted interactive paintings you ran around.

more modern rpgs should use fixed perspective prerendered/painted art for introducing major setpieces to the player. highly deliberate angles, lighting, scale, and details can really sell the initial visuals and set tone, making you recall them every time theyre referred to its powerful storytelling

Been a bit since I posted one of these. I like to update occasionally on how things are going with workouts. Dumbbell Incline Benchpress (4x10) into Pushups (150+) 3/4x a week finally showing some results after a few months of good consistency! I also do a lot of curls and squats and farmer carries.
