I spent about 3 years living on the base in Qatar that was attacked and 6 months living in Doha. I am very happy to hear nobody was hurt. The videos I have seen you can see US troops outside filming. It reminds me of when a B1 lancer lost control and caught fire and the ordinances started exploding.

Speaking of synthesizers. An interesting album is "Synthesizing The Silk Roadz. It is a compilation of pop out of the USSR that was compiled from tapes that had been hidden from the authorities in the Soviet era. Many of the tracks are bangers and give off ABBA vibes.

The original tomb of Thutmose II's was recently discovered. It was built behind a waterfall but the Pharaohs grave site was moved due to flooding. Ancient Egyptian engineering couldn't escape the might of Mother Nature. Thutmose II's flooded tomb stands as a testament to nature's enduring power.

Home made pizza finally with a perfect crust. My son wanted to add a little kick so we added a new habanero garlic hot sauce to the pizza sauce. Turned out perfect. Not sure if you can get Dr belly's hot sauce outside of knowing someone from North Attleborough, MA but it was tasty.

The Ukraine war has had global impacts in interestingly subtle ways. One of those ways was cooking oil. The supply disruption of sunflower oil caused major increases in cooking oil some over 200%. Specifically palm oil spiked causing Indonesia to ban exports. They produce 57% of the supply.

Pulitzer Prize winning photo, taken by Stanley Forman in 1975. It shows a 2 year old and a 19 year old falling from a fire escape after it collapsed during a fire. The two were descending from the 5th floor trying to escape. Tragically the 19 year old died but the 2 year old survived.

The plans for the US capital were supposed to be exactly aligned. However nature has a different plan. The site for the Washington monument has to be shifted because the ground wasn't solid enough to support the tallest stone structure in the world.

Roman bread ovens were community ovens that were created to supply the local population with bread. Most Romans didn't have a personal oven so they would drop their bread off with an identifying stamp or scoring. Corruption within the empire disrupted supply chains of grain from Egypt and Africa.

There are roughly 1,000 adventure playgrounds scattered across Europe. The idea was born there during World War II, when a Danish landscape architect noticed that children were happier playing with rubble and scraps than at more traditional playgrounds. In the US there are only three.

It is a myth that sea turtles only hatch on full moons. However it is true that they instinctively crawl towards the light. Typically the celestial lights reflecting off the water draws them into it. Sea turtles hatch when the temperature is right and that typically happens between 9pm-5am.

Prior to scheduling software a substantial amount of time was spent on trying to get the right people in a room. This was often done by the secretary. They would have to call and work out the schedule manually. Scheduling software off loaded this to the individual and increased productivity.

Often the dead animals were left in the streets of New York for weeks or longer. In the 1870s Dead horse bay was the main dumping ground for manure and carcasses. But many other sites were used. London had a similar problem often carcasses were dumped in nearby lakes poisoning the water supply.

Before the automobile revolution it is estimated that up to 200,000 horses were in new York. Horses also produce about 20 pounds of manure per day. This means millions of pounds per day. At the time the automobile was considered clean and environmentally friendly in comparison. #climate

In 1997, in Russia, a poacher shot and wounded a tiger and stole part of its recent kill. The tiger later found the cabin that the poacher was living in and then waited at least 12 entire hours for the poacher to come home. The tiger then killed and ate the man upon his return.
