I have no proof or anything.. just free thought about your post.. but I feel like the first person to put a fursuit (or I'll stretch it even to mascot!) costume with some sort of athletic apparel (team sport or otherwise) would have to have been some school/university somewhere 50+ years ago..!

The sports furs meetup at CFF 2026 last weekend. Hosted by the hockey fur in the middle! It was a great time! More people were there than those who stayed for the photo!! I'm not even going to attempt to tag names lol

I feel like I'm gonna head to CFF next weekend and will be bombarded with friend requests on Barq.. cause that has happened these past 2 conventions I've attended lmao

001

Derrick @ Home @derricktlion.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

What the heck Facebook recommended that exact post to me this morning..

000

Derrick @ Home @derricktlion.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Unfortunate to certain individuals but for the best, I'd imagine. It must be a gut punch to lose the ability to attend and express themselves at a public event, but I completely get where the Con is coming from.. their reasonings make sense.

Derrick @ Home @derricktlion.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

In 2027, I'd like to make it to as many conventions as possible.. PAW (February), Bewhiskered (April), FWA (May), Anthrocon (July), Megaplex (August), CFF (September), Can't guarantee I can make all of them but those are on my list.

What's crazy is I'm the same exact way lmao. The hottest thing is the gear itself!! Tight, stretchy, shiny, comfy! I'm not staring at the person, I'm staring at the GEAR/Uniform 😸 A hard on? Mmmm yeah okay.. A hard on PRESSED INTO GEAR?! YEAH!!!!
