It also didn't help you had leadership changing from mergers, studio leadership, and boards feeling the need to have their hand or faces on something in the works that will be the "next big thing" that they ignored the shows in the work by scrapping them or giving them a 1 or 2 season and moved on.

I know my peers here will make a similar stating as me but many of us who were in the business or started at the drop of covid saw the writing on the walls. With over promising development, short shelf life and beating on everyone just being stuck inside for years (3+) it was death to the craft

This is more than just Ai, yes this is apart of the current problem, but more than the quick surface answer response. Stream bubble burst, political party changes, leadership and people in charge are not making tv - they're making short form content and not taking chances on development/pitches.

I understand that feeling and hell night where I thought what if I left? Nothing wrong with pivoting to something else in order to survive but I still create what I want and animation isn’t going anywhere. I’ll keep my skills sharp but I’m not fiending after a single job as 1000d are too.
