I wonder, are you laughing at me right now? I’ve been enjoying drawing more edgyness recently, it’s kind of fun, I especially like doing dramatic shading

And despite it all, I’ll keep moving forward. Even as I carry all these unbearable and conflicting emotions. No matter how many times I get knocked down or betrayed, I’ll stand once more and march on. What I love, above all else, is my never ending dream that keeps pulling me forward.

All that happiness, and all that joy, ripped away from me. And still, I don’t know why. It eats away at me along with the rest of my emotions.

“Brothers” While this practice stuck more closely to the manga than my last one, but I feel like I’m getting better and faster. :) #blackclover

There is no outlet for these feelings. All I can do is experience and ooze it from my flesh.

Wanted to practice character design and rendering I’ve been animating so much recently and I didn’t want to get too rusty

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

I have finally finished the 3rd page of my animation practice! Did some pretty basic stuff, but I tried adding other details to make it a little more challenging

Background Practice Don’t really like how the grass field came out, but I think the rest was done decently

Animation Practice pg1 A few things I did a while back, it was fun to be able to let loose and animate some simple shapes and movements

Tried recreating and coloring the final panel of Black Clover 🍀 It was such a good ending I was crying for like 20 minutes in my car just staring at that last panel, I’m so happy I got to experience Black Clover in my lifetime. Would write more, but I’m out of characters. I wrote more on Insta

Here’s another project I finally finished after a lot of learning. This is the first time I’ve done anything like this, separating parts of an illustration, rigging it in blender, and animating it. I was inspired to do this after I saw the video “Make Your Art Move” by PolyPaint on YouTube

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

Good morning Nova, I finally finished this small animation I’ve been working at it for the past few weeks along with other projects so it took longer than it could have, but I’m glad I finished it before the end of the year!

010

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 28/12/2025

Seeing as it’s my birthday, I had to draw an obligatory Asta in celebration!

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

Quick sketch for Christmas of Nova in a Santa outfit, I’ve got big things in the works which is why I haven’t been posting, but I should have something soon

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 14/12/2025

With the release of the new FNAF movie and the broken mask trend I keep on seeing, I felt inspired to make this I had a few issues with the colors/lighting. My main monitor made the images look brighter. However, my tablet and phone made it look darker, but I hope it turned out well.

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 29/11/2025

I finally bring another post, I have been doing a lot of stuff since my last post, but I’m still here. I bring big changes to my platforms, I now have an X/Twitter account! I also plan on synchronizing what I post on here, twitter, and Instagram because my previous idea was more difficult to manage

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

Late Halloween post! I wasn’t planning on doing any posts for Halloween, but last night I flip flopped and decided to make something :)

010

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 26/10/2025

Saw the new chainsaw man movie, and it was certified peak. The music and animation were so beautiful that I felt I had to draw Reze. Also changed my signature from AD to DA :)

031

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 29/09/2025

Tried to redraw the Reze scene with my OC Nova, I wanted more practice with water I thought it came out pretty well, even the water, but I had a lot of trouble getting it where I wanted it 👽

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 19/09/2025

Haven’t drawn this character in a long time, and I wanted to come back to her I’ll definitely be redesigning her, but it’ll take a while cause I’m not really good at coming up with designs

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 06/09/2025

Forgot to post this, freaky nova

020

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

Spent a long time making this animation to express my excitement for the new season of Black Clover Black clover has been a big inspiration for me, and ever since the ending in 2021, I was waiting desperately for more. Now that it is happening I couldn't be more excited :)

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

The one time I will post something that isn’t art, I’ve been praying for more milk stuff for a millennia. This has made me more livid than most things and I don’t know how to feel about that discovery.

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 28/08/2025

Drawing of Ms. Tsu wearing the Racer’s High outfit from Nikke I’m very inspired by Ms. Tsu’s art and I really like this outfit, so I combined them Also everyone should IMMEDIATELY follow Ms Tsu on all platforms, you shall not be disappointed

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

Wanted to practice outfits and found a winter reference, so I tried to make the background fit as well. Don’t love how it turned out, but some spots came out decent

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 19/08/2025

Pumped out a quick animation of a candle I did the other day. I've been trying to get better at animation for a while now and figured that an easy place to start nailing the basics would be visual effects like fire.

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 17/08/2025

Been wanting to redraw/spin an album cover for a while, so I started looking at my recently added and picked this one. The album is Bone Born Bomb by Ano, and the song I’ve been specifically listening to is Happy Lucky Chappy. It’s the OP song for Takopi’s Original Sin and everyone should watch it

The album cover for Bone Born Bomb by Ano, and my OC, Nova, in the middle is hitting the same pose as the original person on the cover

I’ve always been inspired by NIKKE’s character designs and how they write them, so I thought it would be fun to try making something like that. So here’s Lumen, a photographer character with a vintage and steampunk ish outfit. I’ll go into more detail about the character in the alt text :)

She’s very ‘nostalgic’, and likes to reminisce on her own and others’ memories. Has a cheery and bright personality. Enjoys cheesy stuff.

Focuses on capturing a familiar feeling in her photos. (Outside of work)

If she were a character in NIKKE, I’d imagine her to have an M1 Garand style sniper and probably be a defense character with a 2nd tier burst.

Her squad’s purpose would most likely be telling the news (assuming there isn’t already something about that), and Lumen’s role would obviously be to take pictures of the people, the scene, or something relevant to the news.

I don’t really have any other ideas, but I had a lot of fun coming up with this character and her backstory. :)

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Wanted to redesign one of my OC’s hair because I thought she’d look better with short hair Not gonna lie, I’m really liking this new hair a lot more

010

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

Outfit design is very difficult, I dont have the innate sense for a cool outfit design like other artists, so I figured I should work on that. Here is Milk in a maid uniform, I tried to give the outfit more neutral colors and milk-esque details. Please Shift Up, I want more Milk stuff please.

I know it’s not there, but imagine she’s saying “what’re you staring for…”, now that would be awesome

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

I’ve been watching Umamusume for a while now because I saw some fire scenes, and I already liked it a lot. Now that I tried out the game, I’m addicted to it, so I drew my favorite, Rice Shower; she had such a cool arc in season 2

022

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 04/07/2025

I want to get better at animation, but I take so long to do these that I believe I could get more done if I keep it to rough sketches. So here is an animation of my OC Nova kicking her feet. (please ignore all the see through lines)

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 28/06/2025

I spent all day rendering this sketch I did of my OC, Accretia, in a purple dress sitting on top of a piano. Not too proud of the background, but I am happy with how the character came out :)

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 26/06/2025

Today, I wanted to practice rendering skin and focus more on smaller details regarding skin. So here is glossy belly.

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 23/06/2025

After regaining more energy, I wanted to draw something deltarune, so I drew Kris hitting the Wylder Nightreign pose.

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 22/06/2025

Still tired from my trip, so I did this very rough sketch of Duchess from Nightreign. I am still stuck on this stupid goat boss.

000

Derp @derpinganimals.bsky.social · 08/06/2025

Here’s my new vampire OC, Maria, that I created as one, an excuse to draw vampires, and two, an excuse to draw gothic/darker clothing. Only bit of lore I’ve come up with for her is that she tried to go outside in daylight when she was younger, but got burnt quickly and developed many moles.
