These are the nine games that shaped who I am today. Read the alt text for details on how they influenced me.

My 9 Games that shaped who I am:

Mother 3 - Taught me that it's okay to be happy, and it's okay to be sad.

Final Fantasy X - Taught me how to keep pursuing the truth.

Mega Man X4 - Taught me how to treat everyone with kindness.

Pokémon Yellow - Taught me that reading context means everything.

Persona 3 Reload - Taught me to cherish those around me while I still can.

Kingdom Hearts 2 - Taught me to keep my friends close.

Super Mario Sunshine - Taught me to not tie myself to external judgement.

Timespinner - Taught me to not dwell on past events in life.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Taught me to always just be myself.

High School Drawing vs. Now Genuinely can’t believe how good the new one turned out! I haven’t touched this character in at least five years, but I’m incredibly happy to see the evolution of Flame Pyrofox, or as he goes by now, Samurai Pyrofox. #MegaManX #Fanart

Old artwork of Melissa’s Mega Man X OC, originally named Flame Pyrofox, who was made all the way back in Mel’s high school days.

New artwork of Melissa’s Mega Man X OC, now named Samurai Pyrofox, as a self-imposed challenge to go back to all of Mel’s Mega Man X OCs and modernize them.

Dammit, now I have a reason to plug my PlayStation back in. Don’t get it twisted, I hate that they’re killing physical media, but at the same time, I want to support anything Mega Man related.

I just had a rhythm game idea, but if it’s already been done, let me know! What if there was an option in a rhythm game that, when selected, lets you play the song like normal until the end where it loops one more time to let you get more points? Think of it like an encore mode.

So the birthday stream may be a bit late, it depends on how long I’ll be staying at the cabin. Worst-case scenario, I just delay it to tomorrow, or do it in two parts. I’ll keep y’all posted either way.

So I may have been a bit too hasty when I made that last post about cancelling the birthday stream. I can only apologize for the mixed signals, but the Super Mario Maker 2 developer’s commentary stream is back on the menu for Sunday, maybe a day or two later! Thank you for your patience :3

This may be the final update in the weirdest, but most amazing way possible! I’m not getting my hopes up, but by some miracle, the Switch 2 seems to be back up and running! It may have been the microSD causing a glitch? Who knows? Either way, super happy to potentially have this back!

A picture of Melissa’s Switch 2 which appeared to be completely dead for two weeks, but it seems to be working now! We don’t know for sure what happened, but we’ll keep a close eye on it.

Another Update: They still haven’t sent us a shipping label. We’re gonna try to contact them again tonight, but the odds aren’t looking good. Our last resort is buying a new Switch 2, which I really don’t want to do, but if we have to, so be it. I’ve already accepted the outcome either way.
