@outofcontrol I've ran Thinkpad T's for 15 years before my current X1, with Debian (unstable, mostly). Good machines. The only thing that I used to have problem with is with Nvidea cards. I always opted for the Intel graphics. Although, the Nvidea card works also OK in my X1.

@iandunt.bsky.social I'm in favour of abolishing IHT, and then "just" considering it part of income tax / capital gains tax for the people who receive this windfall. Perhaps with a (low) threshold to make it less burdensome on HMRC.
