My sister in law wanted some art on her unfinished cabinet door. Plants in the drawing mirror plants elsewhere in the room. Acrylic paint and paint pen. 2025 #ArtAdventCalendar

A narrow unfinished oak cabinet hung on a wall with wallpaper showing green plants on a white background. The door now has painted plants (white plant like the plants on the wallpaper, blue pointed leaves, yellow circles for accents, and a heavy black outline of an orchid-like flower with pink accent. Black wiggles representing spirally branches twist across the door).

Oh no. The guest dog is going to do me in.

A large baloney loaf of a golden retriever states into your soul with begging eyes. Dog is light gold with dark eyes and white muzzle and eyelashes. Gray and blue rug below on a hardwood floor.

Post a perfect album from 1989, a perfect music year.

Cover for New Order’s album Technique. Features a photo of a cherub statue in red, yellow, green and blue against an ombré background of hot pink at the top and purple at the bottom.

on a much smaller scale, in this portrait the headdress took four times as long as the face. But I loved the way it turned out!

Portrait of a campmate at Burning Man, drawn in 2005. He is facing to the right and laughing at something he sees in a show, is wearing sunglasses and a sparkly headscarf. The background is abstract orange and blue. Medium is dry pastels on textured paper

Photo of Lake Tahoe on a gorgeous clear afternoon in October. #onlybeautifulthings

Photo of Lake Tahoe from a beach on a sunny afternoon. There are rocks in the foreground, the water is clear and lightly rippling and the mountains on the other side of the lake are misty in the distance.

Show me a picture on your phone that has your energy that isn’t a selfie.

A wooden figure throwing both arms up, wide eyed with exasperation. Photo is my own, I don’t have notes on the artist, but this was on display at the American Visionary Museum.

The upside to flying around storms is getting to see drama skies!

View from an airplane window at sunset, an orange sun behind a ribbon of cloud, while other layers of dark clouds are backlit with bright orange outlines or reflecting various shades of blue. A light flare on the lens creates an orange spot with a green highlight.

Colanders do neat tricks too! We were out skiing today and making a big fuss over the crescents in the shadows.

A photo of a pine tree shadow on snow taken 4/8/24, showing crescent shaped light spots when the eclipse was covering almost half the sun.
