My movie theater attendance has been pretty good over the last year. I'm trying to get back into the habit of going regularly. Seeing a matinee of Bones and All, randomly, in Paris, next to the Champs-Élysées was the best, though. Or the best since moving abroad.

Reading the Sandra Cisneros hardcover, Woman Without Shame, & I keep coming back to the New Yorker poem that introduced me to her, & the bit below. Provincetown is a special place, even for a straight guy. & I think of the lesbian calling me chick hips back when I was 25.

But the tea dances shimmied,
miraculous as mercury.
Acrid stink of sweat and
chlorine tang of semen.

Slippery male energy.
Something akin to
watching horses fighting.
Something exciting.
