18 shy of hitting 8000 movies and shows. I have a problem haha.

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Still looking for a great list of horrors to watch this season? Here’s a curated list I made of films that I feel I rarely if ever at all see discussed online very much worth the watch. #horrorsky #31horror #filmsky #moviesky #horrormoviechallenge let’s discuss em! Which ones did you love or hate?

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Looks like I’m 18 movies or shows away from 8000 in my physical media collection. Heres a partial Collection photo as I still haven’t quite moved them all to the new place yet. Hoping to find some good sales through October to tip over that line. #physicalmedia #moviesky #filmsky #dvd #bluray

Bonus #LetterboxdFriday post. Quite a few more than #LastFourWatched for #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days turns out zombie 5 killing birds forgot to include birds killing people and zombies!

0221

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Brilliant. The icon is literally bird shit. #nowwatching #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days no. 75 rounding out the fulci Zombi series. 3 had ninja zombies and flying heads and is awesome. 4 is directed by the guy who made troll 2 and is almost as baffling. Let’s see if they do a proper birdemic w this one.

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I’ll have an additional #lastfourwatched today cause it’s October and time to kick this #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days into high gear. Gonna be some great upcoming #Letterboxdfriday lists. #moviesky #filmsky #horrorsky

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Well this explains a lot about the character of Michael in Burial Ground. This is the actors actual IMDb page. #wtf #horrorsky #moviesky

011

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Watching Burial Ground 1981 and I can’t tell if this kid is supposed to be 12 years old or 42 years old. Anyway so far it’s pretty great Italian zombie horror nonsense. Not sure there’s an actual Plot whatsoever here. I love it . What an array of creature makeups. #horrorsky #moviesky #italianhorror

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Happy #LetterboxdFriday ! It’s been a week of extremely mediocre at best film! I expected a lot more out of Road Games but at Least Unamable had a great creature design! #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days #horrorsky #moviesky

0132

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Happy #LetterboxdFriday been a pretty good week of watches for #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days the surprise one for me was Bone Lake which I expected to hate. it’s not new or anything but it’s good popcorn horror fun. Also onslaught. Plot holes nonstop and it doesn’t know what genre it is but it’s fun!

0160

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

#100HorrorMoviesIn92Days no. 54 The Long Walk. Watched it on a treadmill keeping pace of about 3.5 mph the whole time and raised the slope w them in the road as well. And then cried in the gym while watching. Highly recommended to watch it this way. #horrorsky #moviesky #filmsky #stephenking

What an amazing cover. She looks like she couldn’t care less. It reminds of this pinball machine we used to own for the same reason

121

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Repost with the movie you're making all your moots watch at the bluesky sleepover. This is the best movie you’ve definitely never seen.

230

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Another sleepless night and therefore another bonus #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched jester 2 is far better than the first but still a lot of issues. Mortiarybassistant is a trainwreck of nonsense dragged out? Woman in the yard was about as bland as it gets and screaming forehead is brilliant

1180

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I’ve now seen all five The Strangers movies. Every one of them sucks, and I stand by that. But they’ve gotten worse in exactly the order they were made which is kind of curious. #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days #horrorsky #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday these new 3 are awfully written acted and shot.

1272

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

#physicalmedia #classicvideogames so glad I kept these old systems. Unfortunately I sold off a ton of the games that now I can’t afford, particularly for the Sega Saturn. But as we’re moving it feels great to set these older systems up again and take a break from the modern systems I have

1140

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

It’s #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched time! Getting most my watching in while moving currently. Once again a week of ehhhhh not great but not bad offerings for the most part. Even the lower rated stuff had some good merits to them. #filmsky #horrorsky #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days #moviesky

1171

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

#100HorrorMoviesIn92Days continues. A smattering of entertaining but nothing particularly special unfortunately, also nothing that was straight up bad however bone temple and SNDN 2025 I really debating giving one star #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday #filmsky #letterboxd #moviesky #moviefam

0120

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Bonus #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched since I’m sick and just laying here watching movies! #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days normally I don’t rate shock movies very high because they usually suck but this one actually had a unique story and beats and makeup Fx and in the end I surprisingly enjoyed it

0121

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

#100HorrorMoviesIn92Days #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday Getting through all the remaining zombie films in my collection I haven’t seen it yet. Also watched the baffling it ends and also baffling the jester who’s rating is for a couple kills #filmsky #letterboxd #moviesky #moviefam #movies

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Making progress on #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday #filmsky #letterboxd #moviesky #moviefam #movies I think I’m awarding an additional half star to return of the killer tomatoes. There really are so brilliant gags buried in there.

To celebrate, here’s a photo of a Sam mask I took on set yesterday. Not sure why this mask was in a barn in a western town set, but here we are.

121

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

Eh. Two weeks combined. Been a rough couple finding time to watch but in a couple weeks I’ll be back to like, 47 movies a week haha.

060

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

Happy #letterboxdfriday one and all! This is actually my last two weeks. Things are busy and hectic until mid August at least. #lastfourwatched ?

0230

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Late #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched #filmsky #moviesky god damn if I love boosters isn’t as good as sorry to bother you, and the odyssey is probably easy top three Nolan films of his career now.

0110

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

What a movie. Just got out of the crew screening of The Odyssey and it is SO god damn good. #filmsky #moviesky and yes it’s absolutley worth seeing on the big screen

062

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

Nothing beats Evil Dead 2. Up there in some of my favorite films ever easy. That whole original trilogy is a rewatch at least once a year.

030

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

I’ll be lucky to get in a #LastFourWatched this month. Moving, little work, trying to get my own short film shot, prepping the place Im moving from to start renting it… well at least I’ve got this one for #letterboxdfriday #moviesky #filmsky

0110

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

So instead of #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday here’s a whole slew of short films I’ve seen so far from @chattfilmfest.org and also train dreams and Mickey 17 that I watched on the plane to my Cali gig for the week. Some amaaaaazing short films. I can’t wait to see what these people do next

0122

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Happy #LetterboxdFriday everyone! I’m at the airport w one cancelled flight hoping for the best on the rebooked flight getting me there in time to make my connection! #LastFourWatched #moviesky #Filmsky

I own it on dvd! How about Lil’ Bush? I mean often times I’d say frisky dingo to this question honestly. Or Xtacles spinoff for all two episodes.

Putin, trump and Kim jong un. Band is nuclear power trio. They had it all, a resurrected Queen Elizabeth II on keyboard. Trump falling asleep while playing. Biden shaking nobodies hands and sniffing Putin. Some lizard people. Ozzy. #FlatlineFest #SendNudesOrWeSendNukes #NuclearPowerTrio #Satire

Now that’s an eclectic #LastFourWatched to be honest I laughed through more of Visitor Q than I expected as I kept hearing how fucked up it was. It’s really not. It’s pretty bland and probably my least favorite miike film. But I feel like most shock films are try hards anyway. #LetterboxdFriday

090

Derek Bensonhaver @derekbprops.bsky.social · 29/05/2026
