It seems like bluesky might have dropped support for h.265, so I'll try rendering them tomorrow in h.264 and see if that fixes it.

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

It's weird. I'm doing the same process I did last year and I never had a problem before. Probably just gonna upload them to YouTube and link 'em going forward until I figure out what bluesky doesn't like about it.

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Has anybody experienced these green artifacts in videos posted to bluesky before? They're not present on the locally rendered file, and they play back fine when I upload them to Twitter/YouTube.

Jaylen Brown: "Tyrese has been a great communicator. He's been leading with his voice early on. He's gone out of his way to make sure that I feel comfortable in the system." "For him to be trying to make sure I feel welcome, I appreciate it...He's been the most vocal."

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Jaylen Brown on learning the team's new defensive terminology and system. "Whole new system, whole new calls. I gotta download my brain, different algorithm, to make sure I'm not calling the wrong stuff because the names are different."

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

After two days of pretty intense practices, Nick Nurse says that today was more geared towards implementing their half-court offense, the first day the offense has really been the focus early on in camp.

Tacko Fall has a left hip strain. He'll be reevaluated in approximately two weeks.

020

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Tyrese Maxey couldn't help but laugh at the fact that LeBron left yesterday's practice on a helicopter while he waited outside of the practice facility for a ride after experiencing car problems.

0222

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

What's Nick Nurse most excited about with his new roster? The ability to get deeper into his defensive bag now that he has more size and athleticism on the roster.

030

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Fall experienced hip soreness during today's practice. He will be evaluated later today.

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

With the exception of Adem Bona, and also Tacko Fall (who Nick Nurse says experienced a hip thing during practice), everyone else was a full participant at practice today.

VJ Edgecombe, on playing with stars: "From my rookie year to now, I feel like I've matured a lot. If they miss me on the pass, too bad...I can't hang my head down, feel like damn, I ain't shoot in 5 possessions, 6 possessions. It's a maturity thing now. I'm ready for that."

0210

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

VJ Edgecombe was asked whether he gets scared playing next to LeBron. "Nah, I'm myself." "We holding each other accountable. We're teammates now." "I told him he gotta switch. That's what happens. We're getting to know each other. It's a new system for him."

Obviously, keeping everybody happy with their role is a key, and being content also impacts buy-in on defense. But LeBron's at a stage in his career where I think he's content not scoring 30, Maxey's an ELITE off-ball and has begged for more ball handling for years, and VJ's much better off-ball.

2110

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Just going to reiterate what I've been saying on all summer: the primary questions surrounding the Sixers isn't "whose team is it", but a) Health. Obviously. It goes without saying. And b) Can they defend at a high enough level, especially in the playoffs. The offense will figure itself out.

Unbelievably horrific first quarter. my god.

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

LeBron James, on sacrificing on a star-studded team: "So many in our league has never made a sacrifice in their career, and they average 20 and have had one or two postseason appearances. If that's what you want, that's fine. But I don't think anybody in [this locker room] has that feeling."

3152

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

LeBron, and choosing Philly: "If you saw my agent and his little podcast, you saw his ...I love him to death. He had his LeBron teams up there." "I have a great relationship with Tyrese. We talked a lot...When I broke a lot of the teams down, [Tyrese] was one of the main deciding factors."

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

LeBron James on playing in Philadelphia: "They know sports, they know ball, and if you're not doing what you're supposed to do they're gonna let you hear it, and I'm excited about that. That's holding people accountable."

LeBron, on Embiid: "Jo is one of the most talented guys that we have in the world. For him, it's just been about health." "I've seen him put in a lot of work on his body, put in a lot of work in his game, a lot of work on his mental this offseason."

1110

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

VJ Edgecombe: "You want to know who really initiated the group chats? I did." "Before LeBron got there, I was like 'Yeah, I'm gonna make the group chat. Me, Reese, JB, Joel. And then Bron came in, obviously I don't got LeBron James' number...So I told Tyrese to do it."

3301

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

LeBron: "You have to fall in love with doing things that are uncomfortable. If we can do that we can be a great team. If we don't, we'll be like that was a great team on paper and we lost in the 2nd round. I don't want to do that. I didn't leave my family to lose in the 2nd round." Full answer 👇

Jaylen Brown: "Sacrificing has a negative connotation, but it has its perks and its benefits any time you're going for something great...It'll definitely take sacrifice."

070

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Tyrese Maxey: "I think that is the opportunity that this roster presents, to play off the ball a little more. For me to play off-ball, get some catch-and-shoots, get some handoffs, I think it'll be good for our team."

0140

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Joel Embiid: "It's hard to win when you get a group of guys together for one year, two years, maybe. I'm extremely excited about this team because we have the right mix of veteran leadership and younger guys. We might have some ups and downs, but we're gonna get there."

0210

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Joel Embiid, on Jaylen Brown: "\What he brings, on the defensive end, on the offensive end, it's hard to find that in the league. To be able to add that, then combine that with everything else he does on and off the court, I think it's going to be good for the city of Philadelphia."

0120

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Joel Embiid: "New team, new guys, lots of talent. It's just about taking it day-by-day. There's going to be ups and downs throughout the season. You have to make sure you learn from the downs."

0140

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I have a great relationship with Tyrese. We talked a lot. I picked his brain a lot...When I broke a lot of the teams down I could possibly play for, he was one of the main deciding factors."

Derek Bodner @derekbodner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

LeBron, on choosing Philadelphia: "I had a list of 5 teams that I was interested in. You saw my agent in his little podcast, you saw his whiteboard...whatever, I love him to death...
