94 years ago today the Kinder Scout Mass Trespass took place. Led by socialists and trade unionists, six people ended the day in New Mills police station. Five would got to prison. But it was one of the pivotal events that led to the Peak District becoming Britain's first National Park.

School support staff at two Catholic Multi Academy Trusts will be on strike again next week due to threats to cut jobs and salaries. This is another chance to support our wonderful Teaching Assistants, and other school colleagues.

St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust is planning to cuts the jobs and wages of school support staff, including Teaching Assistants. We do not believe that the cost of failure should fall on the least well paid, so we attended a rally at the trust's headquarters in Derby today.
