Good Shadowrun PB tonight, RNG starting to become a factor for how runs go. Just need to practice some strats to be more consistent in execution. Next goal: Sub-1:11:00.

With some HTML, CSS, and the Steelflight font by Caveras, I cobbled together this tracker for Shadowrun Randomized. Clicking on one of the Key Words/Items toggles it between default menu-blue background/white text and yellow background/black text. Worked great tonight, need to clean up the code.

My age musr be catching up with me, I just realized the defect in my current work laptop after a year or two of getting it, it has a cursed Copilot button instead of right CTRL. I actually use the right CTRL button for practical stuff! Going to reprogram that key ASAP if possible, but yuck!
Picture of laptop keyboard between the space bar and directional keys, focused on a key that would normally be the right CTRL, but is instead has the Copilot symbol and opens Microsoft Copilot when pressed.

Latest updates to streaming setup: 1. Got a Ploopy Adept mouse, fantastic feeling ball mouse with 6 programmable buttons. 2. Got a barely-used Ergodox EZ glow with accessories and programmed with setup I use with my work Ergodox EZ for the last 5+ years. Ergonomics leveled up!

Solid run! Defeating the last boss correctly with the fast strat helped a bunch (I wasn't actually hitting him in my other runs, so the fight was much slower). More practice with the Matrix sections helped as well. Next Goal: Sub: 1:13:00

Last weekend, I found a copy of Dragon View for SNES for $30 at a flea market in rough condition. It looked better after a cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and gluing the label back on w/ glue stick, but the save battery was dead. Upon replacing it with a socket and fresh battery, it works great!

Upgraded from an old Creailty 3D printer I bought used to a new Bambu Labs A1 Combo. Smaller bed, but has auto calibration and better print quality. This rugged box taught me to clean the bed, since the right clip wrecked from loss of adhesion. Good enough for an upcoming local Netrunner meetup.

Since half of my Friday game group gone for the weekend, my friend and I played Netrunner using the System Gateway by Null Signal Games. The starter decks are great, letting us add mechanisms as we get familar with the gameflow. Fantastic times were had, we are both excited to start making decks.

I ordered the System Gateway starter set of Netrunner from Null Signal Games, and found my Gamegenic card case can hold the cards in the order of "playing to learn" (starter decks, then more cards to add, then deckbuilding). Excited to learn this with my kiddo and a friend who digs Netrunner.

The leftmost section has starter cards, the next section has more cards to add after some play with a foam spacer to hold them upright, and the last two sections for deckbuilding for the corporation and runner decks, respectively.

After my kiddo expressed interest in learning to program on my Commodore 64 Ultimate, I felt compelled to grab an extra monitor and create a personal space for them. We'll see if they take to it tomorrow and have fun. The user manual will hopefully help them with the learning.

I am home from this year's RPG Limit Break. I had a great time volunteering, doing the content team stuff I prepped for a month or so, and helped showcase Ys vs Trails. I also enjoyed spending time with friends, making new ones, and even learned Mahjong and Crokinole. Great time, feeling refreshed.

This was my setup about 4 years ago. The monitor is a Sony PVM-2030 that I won from a local auction. I recapped & tuned it, and it was fun to use for a while. I sold it after getting my current monitor, but I miss the lighted buttons. No service menu, so geometry adjustments require opening it up.

Wow, smashed that goal of sub-3:20:00. My run went really well, had few unexpected deaths, and got some great boss fights, like a 2-round Earth Elemental and a fast Bami. The decreased load time from playing on MiSTer witn "Fast CD Seek" mode definitely helped as well. Next goal is sub-3:15:00. 1/3

I finally got the Scalable Video Switch parts I ordered last year and updated my setup last night. Still a mess, but I have a couple open SCART inputs even with the Super Famicom and MiSTer hooked up. This continues to be a fun and neverending project.
My current streaming setup with Acer 1080p monitor, PC Engine Duo-R, MiSTer FPGA, Super Famicom, HP gaming laptop, Yeti X microphone, Stream Deck+, Logitech 1080p Webcam, Logitech Litra Beam, Wireless vertical mouse, and remote for Retrotink on a plastic table in front of my media cart that has an Ikegami HTM-1907r peeking over my laptop with a crowded USB hub next to it. My extra power strip and Infinity IN-USB-1 foot pedal are resting on the floor. The Scalable Video Switch from Arthrimus that has 2 VGA outputs (1 for my Retrotink 4K, other for Extron RGB 203Rxi), 2 SCART inputs (for systems I have that I still have those cables for), and 2 VGA inputs (for Super Famicom using Retrotink cables and MiSTer using standard VGA cable). I was able to use an extra Nintendo Switch 1 power supply for it, which is the correct voltage to amp rating of 5V-1.5A.View of the Scalable Video Switch (SVS), Extron 203Rxi, and Retrotink 4K hooked up. I have the PC Engine Duo-R hooked with S-Video to the front of the Tink, since the output looks really good after the Turbonanza mod (and I don't have an S-Video Input module for the SVS). The RETROTINK 4K front plant was upside-down when I got it. I tried to correct it, but then gave up and appreciated its character.Back of the Retrotink 4K and Extron 203Rxi. It is cleaner at the back of the Rxi with less cables (I used it as a switch before), and I still use it for adjusting the signal gain to the Ikegami with the front dials. The Retrotink's output goes to a Elgato HD60X, which is hidden underneath the Ikegami.

8. Started speedrunning Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys -Played it for the first time couple months or so ago, I enjoyed the story, music, and surprisingly deep boss battles with the bump combat. I saw there weren't many runs of it, so I decided to run it, glad I did. Lots to learn still, but very rewarding.
