So Rob Jabbaz is doing an adaptation of Crossed, which his movie The Sadness was basically an audition for. Could be awesome as long as it strikes the right tone. youtu.be/rN8Ke4mWKG4?...

Please be aware that the series is releasing on the AppleTV store as one long video, but it was written as a six-episode miniseries.

Remaking such a lovely, gorgeous game as Professor Layton with the use of generative AI is beneath contempt. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi2q...

Still invested in the over-arching mysteries of Ludwig but the per-episode cases in Series 2 are sort of terrible. Eps 4 and 5's case solving scenes are utter gibberish. Either utter flukes or just wouldn't hold up in court whatsoever.

Watching through Black Mirror S7: Common People was good. Made me unbearably angry in a good way but had a disappointingly limp, bleak ending. Plaything had the potential to be my favourite episode of the entire show but really wasted its potential and ended kind of nonsensically.

My dreams have soundtracks all the time. Plus I often use my phone which people say is one of those weird things that never happens.

The reliance on suspect confessions is a bit laughable.

Dennis Gallagher @dennigalla.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

I'm also enjoying Ludwig aside from the fact that at least half of the suspects would completely get off with their crime for near-total lack of evidence. You need to watch it as if it's an exaggerated 70s Cluedo-style drama to properly engage with it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GydS...

Show-ha Shoten! is magnificent. One of the best manga I've read in a long time. It's so detailed and inside the psychology and art of comedy that it actually teaches you how to be funnier.

If Eli Roth had made an awful trainwreck of a gorefest movie I have zero doubt I'd still have a laugh with it. But incorporating AI means he can stick it up his arse. Not even I, an apologist fan of his, can defend that. Fuck the guy. variety.com/2026/film/ne...

The horror director said in a statement on Tuesday (via Polygon) that he used generative AI in “a very small portion of a few scenes in the film.”

Kane and Lynch 2 had the best marketing I've ever seen. I fucking loved the game itself, too. I think it was just a little ahead of its time for most people.
