While I know it may be difficult to find things to be thankful for, I'm thankful we have this platform and can leave the bird app. Also thankful for friends and family (including those with feathers and 4 legs!) Happy Thanksgiving y'all! And as tradition dictates: www.youtube.com/watch?v=m57g...

I had visitors again last evening at 5:52 PM. It was windy as all hell but they don't seem to mind!

When will the red counties of WNC realize that the state legislature didn't provide the requested support for those seeking relief from Helene? Probably never. My Rep. from my blue county calls them out and Gov. Cooper already called out their "power grab." www.ednc.org/house-passes...

House passes new bill with regulatory changes, child care grants, and Helene aid

The North Carolina legislature passed a bill that would strip incoming Democrats of authority and allocate additional Helene aid.

Sunday musings: I've noticed a lot of finger pointing between "red" and "blue" states. There are magats in blue states and libs in red ones. Point being, dividing us further isn't helpful and, in fact, alienates people we need to take our country back from the orange twatwaddle. Just my opinion. 😉

I was talking with a neighbor today. She lost her business in Helene. I said, well at least we still have SS and Medicare for now and she responded that nothing will happen to them. When told of the Senators videoed saying they will reduce it, she said they were misquoted. That is why we are here.

Ok so this fall has been a major downer. Starting on 9/26ish, Helene hit my hometown. After 2 weeks with no power, 3 weeks with no internet and still no drinkable running water, I am one of the lucky ones. Lots of help and time to repair all of WNC. Then November. I mean, can't we catch a break?

Yes, it's that time of year! The leaf people/limb lookers are here enjoying it as well. Great places to visit in W. NC. This gallery of pictures is amazing! www.citizen-times.com/picture-gall...

Ok so, not that I like to relish someone's failure BUT I see it as a win for Democracy that Gym appears to have failed again at his Speaker attempt. He lost 2 votes since yesterday. Awwww Sad. Bigly. Hehehehehehehe

Good morning and thanks for the warm welcome! I think I've followed everyone back but if I've missed someone, it wasn't intentional! Just let me know and I'll correct it.
