Of course, right as I print the last one, I have a design breakthrough and need to start all over again. Anyways, 3D printable server rack rail. Joinable. This version uses M6s.
A screenshot of OpenSCAD showing a 3D printable "rack rail". Highlighted in the code editor are a pair of modules which describe a tapered dovetail key and a matching socket.

I mean, AI already has a body count. If it's not a bombed school, or healthcare denials, it's people erroneously jailed, or deported, or jailed and *then* deported... We feed Moloch to curry favor from Mammon.

As far as I'm concerned, this is Tim Apple's legacy. I hope it haunts him until the end of days.

This is for students, but apply this for knowledge workers. Workers who have to constantly learn new things, fix new problems. Like programmers. Are LLMs making our everyone stupid? Yes. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....

Tonight's dinner, charcuterie pizza. Savory, understated, and sweet. You wouldn't think figs would work on a pizza, but... #foodsky

Well, that's silly, but it might be silly enough to work to mount the Nocturne camera to the gantry of the Enderwire.

This is my new brand. (Yes, I actually made this cursed USB C cable. Yes, it works.)

Well, That went in weird directions. Trying to mount a BTT ADXL345 on an Ender3 Pro bed carrier for the Switchwire. This version keeps the button within reach on the front of the bed, uses existing mounting holes, and routes the USB C cable with zip tie anchors. #3dprinting #voron

A screencap from Alien 3 where the Xenomorph threatens Ripley for the first time. The image is reversed so Ripley is on the left, and the alien on the right. Ripley is labeled "Sioux Falls" and the alien is labeled as "Weather system".

Dehumanizing and de-intentionalizing.
Screenshot of a social media post by Aaron Regunberg:

Single best description of Al I've ever
read, from the great Ted Chiang.

"The task that generative A.I has been
most successful at is lowering our
expectations, both of the things we read
and of ourselves when we write
anything for others to read. It is a
fundamentally dehumanizing
technology because it treats us as less
than what we are: creators and
apprehenders of meaning. It reduces the
amount of intention in the world."

Cleaned my bench this morning. Swapped out the full size keyboard and trackpad with a macropad and a gamepad thingy. Collected all the random hardware in a dish for later sorting, and moved Biggest Fan to my biggest fan (on the workbench).
A corner shot of a mostly clean electronics workbench. On the left there's a handheld keyboard, a macropad, and a USB power supply. In the center is a metal dish full of screws and nuts. Behind it is a blue soldering fume extractor with a 3D printed "Boykisser meme" stuck on top. The far end of the bench is still messy.

Hey all, I need some help. Last month we had to replace our home's AC unit here in Minneapolis. My housemate has medical issues forcing us to choose a hotel or the ER, and we struggle a lot on my single income. Anything helps! Thank you! $591/$11000 www.gofundme.com/manage/help-... #mutualaid

The more I keep reading this, the more "data driven" or statistical approaches to business and social policy look more and more suspect. Without considering unconscious bias and social nuance, big data is little more the phrenology. And phrenology kills.
