I think through the first 4 I'm fully locked in. Fifth episode has some "everything has to come together" roughness, and then while there's something there for 6-8 it gets weaker and weaker.

This wasn't the Lanterns issue at all and it makes me think less of people posting about it. We had ring action from episode 1 and the absolute best parts were about the character chemistry.

I actually thought it was weirdly anti-Lindelof in that he actually is going against a lot of his normal tendencies to want to talk about America by having the characters very clearly be lying through their teeth whenever they bring it up

This is why I think he should have had a Yellow lantern, actually sets him up for why he isn't joining and for Fun Conflict going forward.

Oh? Which in particular? In general I think it was a better Lindelof production, much weaker second half but not so much as to make the show less than enjoyable. Should have let the lantern be yellow.

I will say that you do get Liberty Prime (Far Off Galaxy Edition) which makes Trooper have the best companions by far, especially compare to how awful the Agent's were.

Agent was great because I go through Act 1 trying to just be Normal and Do The Work and then Act 2 I'm just murdering my way through every single goddamn NPC because fuck em. Other than Watcher X, he's cool.

Trooper was both an awful idea ("what if everyone on your squad immediately turned Super Evil") and also a bit of a victim of the prologue -> you're in charge for 3 acts structure. Needed to actually let you get to know everyone and have them take alternative paths post-Republic.

Agent works the best because the fact that the Sith are a bunch of muppets is background noise while you try and do your goddamn job, I think Inq/Warrior are a bit weaker for forefronting it.

I think a lot of people don't get that the way utilities are set up is to be a bond program for water/power/gas. The owners get an approved return and exchange take private investment that seeks safety and runs the system. It's moving around the cost and preferred kind of capital mostly.
