It also doesn't help that the CEO is a piece of shit. Fuck you all very much for making me waste my goddamn time on bullshit like this instead of actually making money or getting what I need to do done.

Hey Chicago! The best thing to beat the heat is to drink beer and listen to cool weird stuff! Come see me have the very first reading ever of my work, along with three other awesome genre writers at Solemn Oath Brewery tonight! They've got the beer, we've got the cool weird stuff!

I'm adjusting to more day job hours (yay!) so I haven't been as creatively productive as I'd like (boo). But I'm reading a lot, which is good. Speaking of, I'll be doing a reading of my work with some other awesome authors this Wednesday (7/15) in Chicago, so come check it out if you're nearby!

Spring cleaning turned into a complete reorganization of my office. I'm almost ashamed to say I do a lot of computing from my recliner now, with my TV functioning as a monitor. Now I can have a 2-monitoer setup wherever I sit. Do others have different setups for different styles/mediums of work?

Just revamped the #arcreader form for SUMMER OF SINS with more info & some influences/vibes. Like horror/creatures being evil, a setting with way too much lore & filled with flawed characters who never stop evolving? Check it out forms.gle/k4aStffk1X9o... #booksky #writingcommunity #arcreaders 🩸📚😱

Doing cons for about 10 years means you cross paths with a lot of people multiple times. Comics, like any specific field/social group, is a small town. These are either purchases or trades I've made with folks in that time. Plus a handful of zines Tony from @superflycomics.bsky.social sold me on.

Thacher @ Demonweasel Studios @demonweasel.bsky.social · 19/03/2026

I read 99% of my "single issues" digitally, but there's always some cool stuff you need in print. I love the new trend of physically bigger sized books, and I'm absolutely going to do one of those. I've fully invested myself in DCs ever changing Multiverse & I love what they've been doing lately.

This is the older stuff I've kept. I don't know if those are my original #Milestone books, but the Xombi ones sure are. Milestone was the breakout company for me in the 90s & way ahead of their time. The Rom's I got at an antique store & that Darkman mini is the best sequel they've done 🤘

One thing led to another, thanks to early spring cleaning, and I ended up realizing I should probably organize the very small amount of single issue comics I have. It's all either things I could never bear to part with, Kickstarter rewards, stuff from Cons, & current-ish stuff I dig. #comicsky

The Winston & Churchill Case Files is an urban horror-private investigator adventure series akin to Buffy, Supernatural, Lost Girl. There are non-romantic male and female leads that begin as total opposites but grow into a found-family dynamic (Firefly, Farscape, Star Trek) #booksky #horror

Yesterday I remembered They Might Giants exists, and have been listening to "Then" ever since. I got that 2-CD collection right when it came out (1997) and it was a staple in CD rotation for nearly a decade. I'm almost surprised that I remember as many of the lyrics as I do.

A year ago I was at my heaviest, about 217lbs. My job kept me on my feet & that weight down. I've been pushing myself the past few months to exercise more and not eat *as* terribly (no more regular big bowls of "Night Cereal"). Plus, doing the extra dogwalking has me at about 20,000 steps a day 👍

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

This is also peak Kathleen Turner. Just ripping through shit unapologetically, being disturbingly evil (and this was just before Serial Mom, I think?). The "I want to smash your face" scene is iconic. And still funny despite them using it in every single TV ad.

The holidays got a hold of me, so I didn't have the time to finish my comments on the "Turner/Douglas/DeVito" trilogy of films, specifically the final entry "War of the Roses." A massive win for the end of the trilogy. They're all on equal footing and having fun. 10/10, no notes.
