Madam Ivory, pictured below, is annoyed with me because I won’t let her outside to drive away the medium sized possum on her patio. I’m also inflicting further punishment by making her listen to me singing along with Pat Benatar on Austin City Limits on @houstonpublicmedia.bsky.social

Madam lvory, a small Domestic Short Hair cat, with a black tail and an off-center triangular black splotch on her forehead plus a hidden block splotch on her left rear leg is sitting on my laptop blocking my view of the screen. She supervises my online organizing.

This morning my cat realized I was getting ready to leave the house, so she sat on my arm & chest, so I couldn’t put on my shoes or hat. After we got home from our 170 mile round trip this evening, she succeeded in pinning me to my chair.

Ivory the cat immobilizes her servant Judy. Gray-haired woman with black glasses & wearing a lavender hooded robe is resting with a cat on her chest. She has a tie-dyed blanket in her lap. The mostly white domestic shorthair cat has a black splitch on her forehead & a black tail.

Gov. Greg Abbott originally called a special session to regulate Hemp products like CBD & THC products after vetoing Lt Gov Patrick’s pet bill. But DJT asked for 5 more Republican seats in Congress.

ABBOTT’S PRIORITIES:
(Left side list)

NOT Fund flood warning systems
NOT Strengthen first responder communications
NOT Speed up disaster recovery

In an earlier post today, I explained that my big orange vat, The Marmaladewehe Prince of Parkour died in the early hours and we buried him this afternoon. He weighed 15 lbs compared to Ivory’s 7.

I’m really missing my big orange cat right now. My remaining cat Ivory is nervous but knows something is wrong. Not a good #Caturday. You can’t see that she has one black sock on her left hind leg. She looks all white when sleeping comma style

I have sad news this #Caturday. Our Marmalade Prince of Parkour died very early this morning. He had been missing about 60 hours when he came home, refusing food and barely drinking anything. Cat carriers, car rides, & vet visits always panicked him so we chose to avoid the stress for him & us. RIP

The calls about hands-off Medicaid and SNAP seem to work since they've delayed marking the bills. Keep being a squeaky wheel and contact your congress critter to oppose the cuts. I'd join y'all, but I am without representation until mid Nov in TX-18 Politico link: www.politico.com/live-updates...

tweet from Rep Maxwell Alejandro Frost from May 1st:
A few Republicans are saying they can't support the Republican budget bill because of massive cuts to Medicaid. So the committee votes have been delayed. The protests, office calling, and advocacy are working. Keep up the pressure.

I'm trying to take notes in my CD executive committee meeting. The cat is insisting that I pay attention to her rather than Rep. Sylvester Turner (D TX18)

This is Ivory, who supervises me during most of my work on my laptop. Sometimes, I get to type with all 10 digits. Ivory is a white domestic short-hair with a black tail and two black splotches: one off-center on her forehead and a larger splotch on her left lower rear limb.

I used a great tool from #Indivisible to contact my US senators about voting against confirming Kash Patel as FBI Director

Meet MAGA Extremist Kash Patel (Trump’s Pick for FBI director)
Patel vowed to “come after people. In the media … who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections.”
Patel published a full on “deep state” enemies list full of government officials who’ve criticized Trump.
Patel had his 2020 appointment for Deputy FBI Director blocked by Trump’s own hand-picked Bill Barr.( Barr later made Patel’s enemies list by the way)
