Formerly arrested for DWI, while an AUSA, Ganjei’s been nominated to the federal bench by Trump at recommendation of his former boss Senator Cruz. This seems more than a bit odd…he must have connections…and why wasn’t there a better option with no history of drinking and driving?

MTG and Nehls both announcing resignations within the same couple weeks, both are from the fringes of MAGA and the freedom caucus, both were political allies of Gaetz and close to Trump. I posited at the time of MTG’s resignation could be cover for a fellow member & two weeks later Nehls resigns.

Trump put the National Guard in crowded, very blue streets. He sent in masked ICE agents to grab folks off the street due to their skin color and used the national guard to protect them. Now, 2 guardsmen have been shot in DC and are fighting for their lives. Godspeed guardsmen.

It can be done! GOP’s losing the only issue they’ve always had advantage on: economy. They’ve taken their 2nd issue off table, border, solving it, so GOP base feeling happy. Happy = less enthusiastic about voting. Dems have path. Imo, they need to stick to affordability and defending Constitution.

Dems have inherent enthusiasm gap in their favor. Off year election = lower turnout, higher info voters. Dems already outperformed GOP with these voters in ‘24 & w/ ‘26 context of less turnout, unfavorable sentiment on economy, GOP voter complacency, hispanic underperformance. The path exists.

In addition, Paxton was facing a federal grand jury over whistleblower protection act & his CoS, Aaron Reitz, formerly of Senator Cruz, testified Paxton didn’t fire three staff who went public about Paxton’s corruption as retaliation, rather performance. He’s now running to replace Paxton as AG.
