Narration: But in my village, humans and DemiMon live together in peace.
A girl watches as children play happily with DemiMon.
Narration: According to mommy and daddy...
The girl smiles as she sees a boy working with a DemiMon to draw water from a well.
Narration: The DemiMon were meant to help humans!
The girl beams with joy at the scene.
Narration: But in return, humans must help the DemiMon too! That’s why I’m so happy today… Because I love DemiMon so much, and I’ve been chosen to help them.

Page 4:
The eyepatch girl wakes abruptly and cries out: "Ahaaaaa!"
She jumps from her bed with her small DemiMon and peers through the crack of her door, witnessing a disturbing scene.
The bull has transformed into a demonic figure — Bael, a grotesque creature resembling a bull with insect-like body parts.
Bael stomps on one boy’s throat, killing him instantly.
He then extends his long tongue, piercing into the brain of the girl with pigtails, who bleeds from her eyes as she collapses to the ground.

A wide view shows the place where they live — an ancient pyramid.
While the eyepatch girl sleeps peacefully with her DemiMon, her three companions, cloaked once again, peek from her doorway, watching her.
The boy with bangs whispers: "I think she's asleep. Let's go..."
The three gather around the summoning circle where they had previously invoked a small, cute DemiMon. This time, instead of a goat, they bring forth a large, strong bull, hinting at a far more powerful summoning.
One whispers: "Shhhh... she'll hear us..."
Another, standing before the bull, says: "Alright... Now everyone focus... I'll start the fire..."
A massive blaze erupts, engulfing the bull.

The children, each now with their own DemiMon, sit around a campfire at night.
The boy with bangs, sitting beside his small DemiMon named Kappa, says: "Now that we each have our own baby DemiMon, I think it is time to try and summon a larger one! Then we can go back and get revenge on our parents!"
The girl with the eyepatch, sitting next to her newly summoned DemiMon, replies: "Are you insane? We are barely getting this right..."
The girl with pigtails, sitting playfully with her DemiMon Faerie, nudges the boy with bangs and says: "It's okay... We'll summon a really strong DemiMon one day."
The eyepatch girl removes her accessory, revealing an empty socket with claw marks and a scar from an old injury. She warns: "Just remember... Bad things happen when we don't do this right."

Narration: "There are many ways to capture DemiMon!"
A circle of children in hooded cloaks stand around a large rune drawn on the ground, with a goat placed at the center. They raise their arms, chanting as if performing a summoning ritual.
The goat in the middle bursts into flames and transforms into a DemiMon that resembles a goat but with cuter features, sharp horns, and bat-like wings. The flames around the circle vanish.
The children remove their hoods, revealing a boy with short hair, a girl with pigtails, a girl wearing an eyepatch, and another boy with bangs.
The girl with pigtails approaches the newly summoned DemiMon and exclaims: "Oh my god! He is so cute!"
