Quinn would smile as they finished the song, taking a step back from tje microphone. "See, you did great. I think it's your turn to pick next; unless you want a break?"

And other conversations you've been trying to have with her.

"Judt wanted to make sure." A warm smile down towards the redhead as she began to walk towards their bedroom. She'd stop to let Simeon's calf do the work of catching the door. But once open it would be a short walk to the bed. "Want to stay like this longer or ready to be put down?"

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 1h

Quinn would launch into the chorus with perhaps a little too much gusto. "Add a little sugar", they say "Be a little sweeter", they say "Gotta give and take", but I say "This time it's my way", ah, my way "Be a little proper", they say "Speak a little softer", they say-'

You could try that. If it works better for you it might get the result you need.

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

She has found a good rooftop to sleep on for the night.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

Quinn would shiver as the other woman whispered in her ear. "Oh? Care to share them?" Her hands would move to grab at the other's hips.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

Quinn usually did better when she knew the song. But she is still trying. "This time it's my way, ah, my way This time it's my way, ah, my way.~ I'll do me, you do you I don't need nobody's permission Won't back down, win or lose Oh, yeah, one and only limited edition, yeah.~"

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

Hmm... What could you do to get her to get some rest then? A stern talking to from the normally shy nurse?

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

You backed out. Don't give up hope. She's just oblivious. :(

010

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

"This is not a love song This is not a sing-along But ladies, are you with me? I know that you're with me" Quinn would try to keep up. She would be slightly off tune and behind. If not for the lyrics screen she would be stumbling over her words to keep up.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

Get the others involved? You can't be the only one worried about your boss. Only do the minimum required to keep the lights on and refuse to do more till she rests.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

"Well, we'll see if I can keep up with you then." Quinn would take a position by one of the microphones, adjusting it down to anout Lorelai's height before moving to stand next to the other. They had a bit of a lag before the song would start while it loaded everything.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 9h

Um... Organize a strike every time she is working too hard?

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

She'd plug in Ava Max and pick the first song. The nurse had mentioned she had liked them earlier. She knows none of the songs. "Deal."

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

Hence why we stole her keys. You'd think a dragon would know better but she would get so absorbed in her work she'd go for days at a time until she finished.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

You don't need to try. You are brave.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"Then we can sing those. With the lyrics on screen I might even be able to keep up." She was already approaching the stage. "You want the first choice then?"

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

My CO was going to kill herself if she kept it up. I think it was day twooooo? Without sleep.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

That list had pop songs in spades. There were countless options for Lorelai to choose from.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

I've known some people like that. Best we ever did was just steal their keys and lock them out of their office. My CO was pissed when I did that. I was cleaning floors with a toothbrush for weeks.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"Glad to hear it." Quinn would place the bag of booze on the table as the other woman began to look through the machine. It had so many features it had a search menu on the screen.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

Just an idea. Sounds like she's bad at delegating her work?

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"I figured the backing music would be nice. We can just go find a different place instead if you want. I know some abandoned places nearby."

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

As is life. No? It can be pretty hard when you've got someone who just can't put work down. Maybe she needs a second in command to help take care of some of responsibilities?

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"Well... Let's just say I'm borrowing this car." The room was pretty simple, a table with some seats around it and a karaoke machine on a small stage with two microphones. "Will this work for you?"

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

Not enough hands for all the work?

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"You do know I'm basically homeless right?" She would lead the other inside. She had picked up the key earlier. She'd walk down to the fourth door and open it for the other.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

That's good at least. Don't need to worry about you.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"You do make it look fairly easy." Quinn would wait on the side near the entrance to the building. "I got us a private room. I figured you'd prefer that."

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

Sounds like you've got a good group at least. Just want to make sure you are all as safe as possible.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"I guess that does make it more difficult. Just a shame you don't have a reliable form of getting to work. Right?" As they arrived, the scout would find a place to park and grab the bag full of booze. "Shall we?"

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

I meant more if something happened and it wasn't safe to treat all but incoming injuries. Never. know what a bigot might do. I'm glad it helps. Seems like you really care for your boss.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"I can imagine that's pretty difficult for you. Your coworkers can't establish a carpool with you?" They were already getting close to the destination.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

Well I guess that's fair too. But I'd think having somewhere to retreat to or send the wounded would help? I don't know. You all need to do your thing.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 10h

"I'm sure your voice will be beautiful." With the affirmation that the other woman was ready, Quinn gave it some gas. Before long she was making a rapid pace through the streets towards their destination. "Do you get driven around often?"

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

Why not fight from a more defensible location and fight a guerrilla war?

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

"Just wanted to make sure. Don't want you to be having trouble and not raising a hand about it." Once the other was inside, Quinn would hop into her seat, turning the vehicle back on. "Ready to go?"

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

"No problem." She'd grab the bag and make her way over towards the car, putting it on the floor between them. "If you do need help or anything just let me know. Won't be a problem for me."

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

Could always move your operations somewhere that's better?

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

The scout would offer the other woman when she finally saw her. She'd walk over towards her. "It's no problem. I pretty much just got here." She'd politely cough into her hand, trying to figure out how best to say it. "Will you need any help getting in the car?"

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

That's because the average person is an idiot and a bigot.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

//I have like a 5 page essay on Quinn's politics I need to post at some point.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

Wow. I'm just chopped liver? [Hand to heart, feigning insult.] I do find you fairly endearing.

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

[Starter for @nursingfang.bsky.social] At around lunch time the scout would pull up beside the other woman's home in a convertible sportscar with the top down. One that is far too nice for her to have obtained through legitimate means. Throwing it into park, she would hop out, patiently waiting --

Quinn has had enough close calls to be cautious. But it would take long until they had subdued any remaining officers. When it came to the evidence room, Quinn made short work of the lock. "I do feel a little bad burning it down with people inside."

000

Quinn (Star Guardian) @demaciancorsair.bsky.social · 11h

On you, yes. I have met few people who share my tenacity for refusing compliments.

I have broad taste in women. I like your eyes.

And you are a very cute, adorable half fish girl.
