i am so beyond thrilled to launch my new webcomic: PRAYERS TO THE FUTURE! it's a muslim-themed post-apocalyptic adventure about coming together to breathe life into a struggling world. the first update is now live at prayerstothefuture.com - the comic is free to read + updates every monday. ENJOY 🧿

an illustration for the launch of my (iasmin omar ata) new webcomic PRAYERS TO THE FUTURE. the main character, irfan, poses with an obsidian sword. the rest of the comics cast (a mystery for now!) is depicted in various shapes behind her. the title of the comic is written outside of a circle behind irfan, with "by iasmin omar ata" written on the underside of the circle. within the circle, a post-apocalyptic desert is shown, with a tall obisidan obelisk at the center and a giant crystal floating atop it.

if you're seeing this, i want you to know that whatever you want to do, whatever art you want to make, however much you want your work to be seen -- you, yes YOU, can make it happen!!!

an in-progress page of an in-progress story. in front of a desolate sky, a character with long red hair and gold eyes faces the reader. in captions, she says: "Even if I feel lost... Even if things seem impossible... I'll make this happen, no matter what!"

HAPPY SONIC DAY! 💙🎉 on new year’s eve 2021, i played Sonic CD for the first time and was captivated by it. the colors, the energy, the sense of “you can do anything!!” — this energy that lifts people up is truly unique to sonic. when i can, i draw art like this to help encourage people the same way.

modern sonic and classic sonic face the viewer with huge grins and making peace signs, with bright stars and pattterns in the foreground and background.

classic sonic, among stars and colors, winks at the viewer, and he tells you what you need to hear: YOU'RE A SUPER STAR!!

classic sonic and modern sonic strike their victory poses from sonic generations. behind them, giant colorful text reads "YOU'RE 2 COOL!" it's true!

IDW Sonic vol 20 is out today!! it includes last year's Annual compilation - which i wrote a story for + drew the RI cover for as well ✨ happy reading!!

Iasmin Omar Ata's R1:10 cover for the Sonic 2024 Annual. Sonic & friends are chilling in a lush Green Hill-like landscape with flowers and waterfalls. Sonic and Tails are hanging out in the foreground, while in the background, E-123 Omega offers a flower crown to Shadow; he is a bit embarrassed about it though, so Rouge, Cream, and Cheese happily encourage him. Blaze is surrounded by a mound of flowers thanks to Amy, and Knuckles is having the time of his life chatting with his boys Vector and Espio. Silver is using his psychic powers to perform magic tricks to a delighted Charmy, though his psychic field is unexpectedly drawing in Froggy (to Big's bewilderment). it's a new day with old friends; can you feel the sunshine? ☀️

We never want to leave characters out of the action, so he will certainly be returning to the ongoing. i released "part 1" of Tropical Depression Tendency a million years ago and was planning to release it in 5 parts, but then i decided to consolidate it all into one game. turns out making a game solely in your free time takes a very long time! but it is actually shockingly close to being complete.
