Hey folks! I figure I keep reposting this, so I should tell you why: I'm in this! I really love the people at SRTMOO, and it's been really fun playing what amounts to a long-form TTRPG over a cool chat-room system that looks like this. You should try it too, I think!

Armored Core 1 is what got me hooked on mecha, now I'm writing almost exclusively mecha sci-fi. The Mega Man games here are more security blankets, comfort games that take me back to simpler times, but they're still really fun and I have fond memories of them.

Super Metroid has been the only game that I've ever speed-ran, because I just really loved the way it felt so much and didn't want to stop playing it. Cave Story was my first real games-as-art experiences, and the freeware version got me through a lot of boring days at work.

My nine games in no particular order. HFTF was my first fighting game, UNIST was my first tournament-playing one, Plus R was a big step into netplay during lockdowns, and SF6 is my current competitive game.

FIGHT BACK! Can't get enough of Super Robot Wars after Y? Did you feel like a series was missing? Consider joining Super Robot Taisen MOO! SRTMOO is a text-based RP to recreate, reimagine, and cross over mecha franchises based on the Super Robot Wars games. More under the cut. srtmoo.net/

A poster of robots standing together. The text reads "Super Robot Wars Mu"

Guy: "An alien calling itself Zarab. It had some kind of mastery over electricity."

Suletta: "D-D-Domon Kasshu!? I-um-yesthat'smehellonicetomeetyou-"

Leon: "I'm not losing to you this time, Alto!"

Learning medical terminology is cool because it seems to use the same parts of my brain as learning combos in an anime fighter. Yeah if you got a right hand starter go into third finger then distal interphalangeal joint if you want better oki

currently a little tight on cash. it's not super necessary, as i'm sure i can make it work out, but a little bit of support would go a long way as i am very close to hitting my card's limit. no worries if not of course. i appreciate it all the same, thank you so much ko-fi.com/sekihatenkyo

digital circus fandom is what happens when some trans person's piece of weird, queer, personal art attracts the attention of parasocial tiktokers who would rather theorycraft than pay attention to literally anything the piece of media is actually trying to say

Why does every conspiracy theory or pseudoscience tiktok always have people pointing at whatever they're talking about? The whole thing annoys me but that part especially so

Job hunting in a hostile environment. ✨

A three panel comic done in mostly a blue-purple ink. Frame 1: The artist, a tired person with their hair in a bun and a bag on their shoulder standing in the awning of a bus shelter. There's an ad on it that says "STOP HIRING HUMANS", above a woman whose face has been replace with the word "AI".
Frame 2: The bus comes, it's wrapped in an ad that also says "STOP HIRING HUMANS." The artist has a blank look.
Frame 3: A plane has now arrived above the bus and the human. It's carrying an ad banner that also says "STOP HIRING HUMANS".

Hey, so we got a trojan horse ag.ny.gov/press-releas...

Text passage reading:

Valve’s loot box model can be especially harmful to children. Attorney General James asserts that young users with limited funds can be enticed to start gambling through loot boxes in the hopes of obtaining a virtual item that they believe will enhance their status in the games’ virtual worlds. Research has shown that children who are introduced to gambling are four times more likely to develop a gambling problem later in life than those who are not. (highlighted in screenshot) In addition, although this case is about illegal gambling, it is important to note that Valve’s promotion of games that glorify violence and guns helps fuel the dangerous epidemic of gun violence, particularly among young gamers who can become numbed to grave violence before their brains are fully developed. (end of highlighting)

Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.
