£4.39! What a record. Happy Friday. Have a beautiful weekend!

Not that I've heard them all (someone must have) but this is my fave Jimmy on Verve. Takes you through the door of the club, down the stairs, out onto the floor, rum & coke, fag smoke and sweat.

It's definitely from his prompt, well apart from the latin one 🙂

That Lena album is ace. There's definitely a great compilation to be made i reckon.

020

Or Rome. Cliff singing in Italian! No words (yet).

Haha. It's his fault. DSMN is the one behind Kinda Latin...

210

Cool. It probably turned up looking at jazz vocal stuff.

000

I have that album on my wants, though i can't remember why. Is it a keeper?

100

No, that was from America. This popped up while I was looking. Si I thought, well now 😀

000

Bit of post. US press. It was still in shrink, thankfully not warped. Marvellous.

I thought it was something old, then read the alt text.

What a lovely album cover. Like an old Burt Goldblatt classic.

Fourcliffs for a pound. He sings in Italian, he sings in English, he does the bossa nova (this was on my list for a while, cheap bossa is always great). Mmm. Huh huh.

Thinking about jazz vocal Beatles covers, a compilation that still needs to happen. Of course Morgana King's take of Tomorrow Never Knows is up there (of any genre). Chris does Nowhere Man ... youtu.be/sGYG8tY5I8I?...

Kicks off with the made famous by Little Anthony Goin' Out Of My Head, drops into a flute heavy Bonfa tune...my days Chris. Great cover too. Np

Cheap album that hits big. NP

And with a minimal backing to get in the way...

020

It's pricey though for a cd. Needs a reissue (all of it does). Don't think she made a bad album.

210

Fair. Gotta be in good nick for that price!

000

I have lots of 2fers on EMI from a while back. Same series as Peggy Lee.

120

Btw, I'd love to find a copy of the yummy, yummy, yummy album

Love it when that happens, though rare! Oh, and I'd have to run away after seeing a Julie and a Blossom. Btw which Blossom Dearie was it?

I'll listen to this later (and Discogs check). Always good to see new names!

100

Completely agree. And Anne gets it pitch perfect.

Just saw two late teenage lads. One black lad, one white lad. Both sporting an enormous afro hairdo. Dressed like they were gonna drop One Armed Scissor at any moment. Fabulous.

030

Haha. I doubt it. Nice though. Tbf we do a lot of archive work, research. You have to remember, it's the town that carpeted the world! 🙂

NP Bojoura Night Flight...like Alison Steadman in Nuts in May made a bizarre album before setting off in a Morris Minor. Miss Rev-Ola btw.

Did some archive stuff for the fella that made it. He turned up out of the blue one day. He said he'd add my name for my help.

I know they divide people, me included, but have to say I'm quite pleased to see my name in the credits of that new led zep doc.

My introduction was the Occupation Trilogy, which I was given to read a whila ago. I haven't listened to this episode of BL. Cheers and thank you.
