Today we celebrate Karl Marx, whose ideas still shape our fight for again injustice. Born on this day in 1818, his analysis of capitalism remains remarkably relevant. As Marx said, the point isn't just to interpret the world, but to change it. Join us!

At the top left, large black text reads “Happy birthday, Marx!” with the date “5/5” at the top right. Below the headline, a block of white text explains that Delaware DSA celebrates Marx as the author of The Communist Manifesto alongside Friedrich Engels and credits him with revealing how capitalists extract value from the working class and shape our working and living conditions. Under this, the titles and years of his key works, The Communist Manifesto (1847) and Das Kapital (1867), appear in italicized black type. The bottom half displays his famous quote in very large black letters: “The philosophers have only interpreted the world... The point, however, is to change it.” A white rose logo in the bottom right corner marks the Delaware DSA logo.

Today Delaware DSA celebrates Lenin's birthday! Born April 22, 1870, his revolutionary theory and practice transformed political movements worldwide. His writings on class struggle, imperialism and state power continue to guide socialists fighting for economic justice today!
A stylized red‑tinted portrait of Vladimir Lenin wearing a paper party hat sits against a faint map background. At the top left in large black letters it reads “Happy birthday, Lenin!” with “4/22” at the top right. Below in white text on a red block it says “Today Delaware DSA celebrates the life of socialist theorist, revolutionary, and first leader of the USSR, Vladimir Lenin. Building on the work of Marx and Engels, he authored over 50 texts that inform socialist movements today. His writing demonstrates the power and importance of the working class, outlining how a disciplined party can organize and lead workers to take hold of political power, dismantle capitalist structures, and lay the foundations of a socialist society.” Under that in italic black text are the titles “State and Revolution (1917)  What Is To Be Done? This Easter, we reflect on Christ's radical message of debt forgiveness, resource sharing, and building communities of equals. The earliest Christians lived these socialist principles. May we all follow their example in creating a better world for everyone!
A square graphic with a pale mint green background and a thin white frame. At the top, large black script reads “Happy Easter” set against a soft green watercolor wash. Below that, in bold black serif type, is the line “from Delaware DSA!” Two soft pink panels occupy the center: the upper panel holds a block of purple text inviting readers to remember Christ’s teachings to forgive debts, share resources, and build community in equality, noting that the earliest Christians lived by these socialist principles; the lower panel features a centered purple Bible verse in quotes, “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God,” followed by the attribution Matthew 19:24. Fine line drawings of calla lilies in mint green trace the left and right borders. In the bottom left corner is a small coral red square showing a white stylized rose above the words “Delaware DSA.”
