I wrote this in today’s Times. Headline bit unfair. This is about a period in 2018 when I was 3 years sober but was yet to get to grips with looking after myself properly. I over worked as a distraction. I’ll be 10 years sober next month and am much better at taking naps and walks in the park now.

A lot of blokes don’t fancy therapy. Why is that? We know there is a mental health crisis among British males from the stats. Suicide remains the biggest killer of men under the age of 50 in this country.
