iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Unfortunately I have found I am doing that insane Ghibli workflow also where the end script isn't really finished and I'm constantly wasting effort on a joke/scene that doesn't work only to completely it LOL.I HAVE. WASTED SO MUCH TIME. FILMING GAMEPLAY I WILL NOT USE. FROM JAK AND DAXTER

Mononoke has this like perfect mix of quiet and loud to keep the viewer on edge. It's... So fucked up how good it is. Like perfect movie ass...

This short film project thing... It's trajectory completely shifted to be a lot more comfortable with silence and ease off the gas JUST a little. Going piano to fortissimo type shit. I think I'll have a better understanding of the full thing once each part is finished if the flow is good.

Keep thinking about princess mononoke...

Pretty much all of my manga collection were adult purchases once I had money. Stuff I loved so much I needed it in physical form to have forever. It's a little pathetic looking now since I had to sell like 80% of my belongings last year, but what I kept will be buried with me.

Dekuinthelake @dekuinthelake.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Like the sheer amount of free manga that was online SLAPPED. There is still quite a bit out there at least. I hope young people are still out there discovering it and cultivating a love for art even if they got no money. Obviously artists should be paid, but they can always buy books later.

Dekuinthelake @dekuinthelake.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

PARASYTE EVEN FAKE FAN. GOD though that manga SLAPS. I gotta reread it again soon.

Dekuinthelake @dekuinthelake.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I've basically read like... A very small amount of american comics. I was pretty lucky to have super easy access to manga growing up through our local library. Sometimes I look at my older work and be like oh yeah I stole that technique from Parasite.

The joy I feel making shit with my own hands, even if it is mid as hell, is all that matters and will ever matter.

Dekuinthelake @dekuinthelake.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I've been making art and posting it online for nearly 20 years now and been mostly unsuccessful having it go anywhere major financially/career wise. I'm at peace with that now which is why I finally have the confidence to manifest this vid. I'm making this for me and having a blast.

Dekuinthelake @dekuinthelake.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I ended up asking for a two week out start date because I need to finish my funny little art video. I don't expect anything to come or it but it's one of 3 big creative projects I want to do before I die. It's been cooking for 8 years and I finally feel able to make it. Half way done now I'm AMPED!!
