Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

Yeah this is what I meant as well. They're obscuring the corrections in a way that only people who would disagree anyway would even find them to begin with. Though (through experience with my parents) biases are so strong even if they see the corrections they'd usually write them off

The issue with the correction is that the people who are liable to fall victim to hate speech and misinformation most likely won't scroll much further than the first few comments. It's a smart system if your goal is manipulating people (which it is in social media case)

The issue is, this would require people at the top to care more about education and human rights than profit and engagement, which is just not the case almost ever. I kind of live under a rock since I refuse to make accounts for websites that don't even let me view posts without one ❌

My wish for 2.0 was to bring character that are too strong in line, and make characters like Queen Dizzy more functional and flexible. However, what is happening is that characters are becoming more like Dizzy: Less flexible and more linear.

They state this is to make the moves easier to punish on whiff, but as with Dizzy 2D, this has wide reaching consequences not only for combos but also on block, which makes these moves feel horrible to use. In some match ups the on block being this bad makes the buttons basically never worth using

Pot flick was equally too strong but it did not need to get the Dizzy 2D -16 treatment of just feeling horrible. It gets even worse when we consider pot has no safe enders anymore and flick is a non cancelable special with low reward on hit. The move needs to do something.

Millia Kapel change not only reintroduces a change we hotfix reverted in S4 because it was so disliked (recovery), we also double down by removing Kapel's purpose as an anti anti-air by adding a hurtbox. While it was too strong, removing a big part of its identity is not the way to go

May is still spamming up dolphin, Winter Mantis from Axl is still basically unpunishable as it has no recovery still and what recovery it does have is not counter hit. Axl 6K is still hitting crouching buttons despite follow up hitboxes being available for balance.

Going into gameplay changes, I want to preface by saying I think they identified a lot of problems successfully, but they either made changes that don't solve the problem, or worse; solve the problem but make the move bad and removing part of or its entire purpose.

I think communication has to be significantly better when you are dropping a patch like this really close to a massive event. A lot of money is on the line for people (Beyond the prize pool, travel cost etc.) and I can't imagine being a millia or pot player excited and practicing for Evo France rn

First, I want to say that I think shadow dropping a small patch like this after 5 months of complete radio silence two weeks before Evo France and 3 days before a Silver is not great. Aside from the gameplay implications (which are heavy), there is the potential for bugs, which I think is a problem
