ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I'd hate to see the price. I bought 4 of the 32gb radxa rock5b+ a year or so ago for about 1k aud total. Right now, you can buy one for over 1200 aud. 000 0
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Yes. By using it, you're promoting theft on a global scale, destruction of valuable resources, the death of personal computing and the notion that people with more money than most countries GDP are allowed to do whatever t.f they want with no ramifications. No one needs "AI". No one should use "AI". 040 4
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I'd go so far as to say that anyone using AI in any way is contributing to the destruction of personal computing, given the cost of "owning" a PC is very quickly approaching the "only for the rich" status thanks to AI (or LLMs, rather). F*#k AI. 000 0
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Was waiting for this. Right from the get go, the timeframe seemed way too optimistic. I'm not going to cancel my pre order, but I reckon it would be wise to consider they may never deliver. 010 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 22/08/2026This is kinda like slapping a Commodore logo on a toaster and calling it an official Commodore product. Each to their own I guess. 010 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 25/07/2026Perhaps you're using SAML for authentication and SLO is not supported or hasn't been configured properly in the SP. 100 1

ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 16/06/2026Oh, I expect as much. Rent a VPS and run tour own wireguard service. They might be bale to gate the VPS providers, but they're not going to be able to prevent you from using a VPS as a VPN endpoint. 110 1

ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 14/05/2026This sounds like much the same behaviour as seen in other flash based media like SSD and NVMe when they're over allocated and might be related to wear levelling? Maybe you can create an image with dd, run blkdiscard on it, then reimage? 000 0
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 04/05/2026So, who else have 256MB RAM in their C64? That's RAMCard XL v3, by @corei64.bsky.social 000 0
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 03/05/2026RAMLink XL build complete! Had a bit of a false start, as not compatible with U64 latest firmware (1.24 was last firmware version that worked). I then tested with a C64 Reloaded mk2, but that also failed (but may work with timing clip from what I read). Switched to a real C64 and it fired right up. 010 1

ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 02/05/2026Absolutely love Beep. You'll find stuff there you'll have a hard time finding anywhere else. Be nice to see them in a larger store though! 010 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 19/04/2026A weekend well spent. 5 of the BlueSCSIv2 external variant & 5 desktop. Desktop was challenging to hand solder as they use a mix of 0402, 0603 & 0805 components. Think I've pretty well mastered 0402 now! 010 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 18/04/2026The other thing that put him firmly on my shit list is that you had to "register" your interest by giving name and email. Well, that was about 7 years ago and I've had marketing emails for every commercial venture he's had since then. "Unsubscribing" just gets you off the current campaign. 010 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 18/04/2026And likes to say he's "giving something back to the community". An example of that was the VIC-II squared. A small PCB and a couple of components that any tinkerer knows is less than $10 worth of kit, but when they were ready he wanted something like $120. Giving back to the community you see. 100 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 17/04/2026What's wrong with "This firmware is not an officially supported release. If you chose to proceed, your warranty will be null and void"? Seems to be more to this story, but in any case, I don't really care. Commodore lost it's appeal as soon as it was "acquired" & has finally died. 020 2
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 08/04/2026Just as much as we appreciate the rampant inflation, food insecurity and interest rate rises to combat the rampant inflation. 030 3
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 07/04/2026Anyway, what happened to "community"? That sounds very anti community to me. 010 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 07/04/2026There has been a degradation in compatibility between previous and current releases. Cartridges that worked previously no longer work. Power cycling via menu sometimes results in black screen (remedied by pulling power completely and reconnecting). 110 1

ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 30/03/2026There was a fix for the earlier CMD HD-4000 PCBs that was causing IEC bus lockups when connected with other devices. I'm not sure if that's relevant for parallel, but thought I'd mention it. corei64.proboards.com/thread/92/ie... 000 0

ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 05/02/2026Another Ultimate Elite build. Wasn't sure about the black case, but I reckon it looks pretty schmick with the gold badges. I love the Elite boards. Saddened Gideon is no longer making them. 010 1
ZeroBytesFree @dejavu4u2.bsky.social · 17/01/2026Manufactured in China, not made in China. It means it's no longer possible to make a faithful replica board.
