It is a challenging project, especially as the correct grade of plywood is both expensive and difficult to source. Over 3800 Horsas were made and used for invasion assaults. 073

The time-expired engines were refurbished and generously donated to DHAM by Southern Sailplanes Ltd. The team expects to install the engines later this year. 1101

George, a former wartime Mosquito pilot, died yesterday at his Brighton home, aged 103. A regular Museum visitor and supporter. Our thoughts are with George’s family at this sad time. 043
