An older commission for x.com/DegenDismal !! Easily one of my favorite semi-recent comics I've gotten to do and a great display as to the man Lord Riot/Kouei is. Responding to his life-ruining whims with anything but gratitude is met with fire. And after that, you'll be a doll on his strings.

A comic page wherein a human with brown hair (Diz) is approached by a blonde kitsune (Kouei/Riot) who then turns said human into a fennec fox girl while the kitsune looms menacingly behind to taunt her. Text:

Offscreen: "Hey Thanks, Diz!"
Diz:"No problem, I'm happy to help!"
Riot: "Oh, is that so? I could certainly use your help, young man!"
Diz: "Oh dear. W.. what can I help you with Mister Kitsune?"
Riot: "Glad you asaked! You see, I've been rather down as of late." "And I could use.."
Diz: "What what !?"
Riot: "A little bit of ... moral support!"
"Pahahaha!! Lovely, simply lovely!! A beautiful cheerleader, all for me! You will give me a rousing cheer, won't you?"
Diz: "What did you.. do to.. me?"
Riot: "Why, I improved you young lady! You don't.. disagree with my suggestion do you?"

The fennc fox slaps the kitsune across the face who praises her for a 'fiery personality' but still enacts vengeance upon her by immolating her sense of self, leaving a shell behind who latches onto the first role that is tossed to her feet.

Text:
Diz: "THAT'S what I think of your little suggestion you CREEP!! TURN ME BACK. NOW!!"
Riot: "Oh my!! Look at you, Little Miss Main Character! What a positively *fiery* spirit you posess!"
"Unfortunately..."
"There's only room for one Main Character here, and he stands before you."
"Which means all that's left.. is the fire."
"Now burn, sweetheart."

Monologue:
"How pretty does the soul burn at the dusk of life.
Every choice you've made has led you here, Dismal.
Every decision, another step into my arms. And now..
Your past no longer has use for me. There's just no need for something so trivial.
But worry not. There's so many background roles for a supporter like you to fill.
And you won't refuse me this time.
Because when a woman is dying of thirst in the barren desert that once was her soul..
She will reach out for any source of water offered to her.
No matter how poisonous."

The soul-burned fox, having changed colors and lost the shine in her eyes, is performing for the kitsune to the point of physical exhaustion while he rests on a bed nearby.

Riot: "Lovely. No one ponders if the dancer in the music box ever gets tired and I see no reason why I should be the first."
