Spicy sapphic romance. Magical realism.

Book review and behind the scenes working on an anthology as an illustrator.

YA Fantasy — I’d shelf this with my favorites by CS Lewis, Philip Pullman, and Good Omens. Powerful new voice.

Site Relaunch! Hello, everyone! Thanks for your patience as I revised the site. I'm pretty happy with this version and feel it is more modern and better reflects my complete skillsets. Have a wonderful week!

What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain. “Since you are exceptional at all this… can you train this mediocre white guy we found through social networking at golf and a bullshit resume who plans to sit at his desk, play on his phone, become an HR nightmare, and expect you to do his work on top of yours—instead of promoting you?” Sunshine grin: “Absolutely! I’d LOVE to! The moment you give me his job title and salary, since you just stated I’m more qualified and you passed me over anyway and made a mistake.” (They don’t like that answer. They like it less when the whole HR disaster-zero work happens and I’m proven right.)

Writing tips! Sometimes you’re fighting yourself by trying to tell the wrong story—or the wrong part of the story. Also some tips on writers block.

In January, I took a month off of everything to ONLY pursue my passions… and this was what happened ❤️😍

I launched my professional astrologer website. I’ve practiced 30 years and decided to open up to the public in 2026. Here’s a summary of some more popular services! www.mischafoxastrology.com

OUTTAKES! 🤣 I try to announce www.mischafoxastrology.com and Selkie the Sphynx kitten photobombs me, demanding LOVE RIGHT NOW, MAMA! #sphynx #sphynxcat #sphynxoftiktok #astrology #astrologytiktok

Banshee the black Sphynx cat interrupts this ridiculous “content creation” and “writing” to DEMAND ATTENTION. (And prove to the haters she’s not AI or filtered, she’s really this gorgeous and a supermodel cat.)

Book Review: TWO TWISTED CROWNS by Rachel Gillig Fantastic dark fantasy sequel and conclusion to One Dark Window. Moody worldbuilding, interlocking character arcs, two very different B-plot romances. #bookreview ##author #romantasy #darkfantasy #darkromantasy

Book review: ONE DARK WINDOW by Rachel Gillig Great blend of unique concept dark fantasy world and romance. Two of my comp titles aged out, and this was a delightful find that ended up better than the original I picked! #bookreview #author #romantasy #darkfantasy #darkromantasy

I never thought I’d be the person who made social media accounts for their cats… or a full website… but here we are! Honestly, I needed the storage space on my phone and cloud accounts freed up, and the cuties were taking over my accounts which made it more confusing what my content was about. They’ll still make guest appearances (because they’re cats) but you can note follow them at:
