I haven’t watched S2 yet. But S1 is soooo fun.

Not quite as political but my local bookstore has a collection that is tagged something like, "Smart women who fall for damp English men" which always tickles my fancy.

Enjoy. I'm quite jealous. 🤩

I know this doesn't answer the question but if it's not already on your radar I would recommend allowing some time to visit the Museum at FIT, if that's one of the stops. It's my favourite museum/gallery in NYC and it's free. Feels like a bit of a hidden gem.

Slightly diminish a band: The Off-white Stripes.

Agreed. I listened to the first one through my library but couldn't get book two so caved and bought the first five ebooks. But definitely enjoyed the audiobook experience too.

Was just coming here to say this too. I've only read the first two and am loving them. The writing is sooooo sharp.

I feel like the 'help people choose what to see' function of movie reviews often overshadows the 'help people better understand what they just saw' function, which I would argue is more meaningful. And even though I haven't seen Sinners (I'm not great at horror), your review makes some great points.

Some of those running gags are really quite, quite silly but I giggle every single time. Great writing and absolutely stellar casting.

Don't even talk to me about the fact that I change the spelling language to English (Australian) and the minute I click anywhere in the document it reverts back to US.

In the name of all that is holy can someone from Sydney Airport fly to Melbourne and use their Uber pickup?! What Melbourne is doing works. What Sydney is doing...well, I don't think anyone knows what Sydney is doing. But it sure as shit isn't getting anyone anywhere.

I might be expecting too much but I would assume a service provided by the Australian Government would, at the very least, know how to spell Australia. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Tempted to reply, "Hey bud, you're trying to scam an editor. Google Austrailia and try again."

Image shows a text message supposedly from "myGov" but the url spells Australia incorrectly as "austrailia".

In these times I think most people here appreciate the effort you've already put it. I certainly am looking forward to adding to my tbr. But yes, I've noticed the pins too. I need to google. 🤣

Sorry, but I'm new here and it was the easiest way I could think of to be able to find it again to read all the reccs. My like can just be a bonus. No extra work required on your part.

Saw the production of August: Osage County at Belvoir tonight. The whole cast was fantastic but Pamela Rabe and Tamsin Carroll were next level. Seeing these two amazing actors go head to head was such a privilege I will not forget for a long time.

As someone who has been trying to find the right social media replacement for The Bad Place for months now I'm liking what I see here. I'm not sad that a lot of corporate accounts haven't sprung up yet, but it would be nice to see more of my fave orgs on here like aquariums and art galleries.

Not sure if you're taking recommendations but if you haven't listened to the new King Stingray album, I highly recommend. 👍🏻
