April is here, it is the "draw a tapir" month!......well, actually drawing tapis all year round is cool, they deserve much more love and conservation efforts. Happy tapirs = happy forests and happy people ❤️ (And please ignore my typos, I'm drowsy and English is not my first language 😅)

As you imagine, that came with a lot of veterinary expenses too. And this month I got only 2/5 of the expected commissions (I'm 100% grateful to the people that got the slots!). Maybe it is just a slow month, and even if last year was nice in terms of commissions I know it is a+(1/3)

From the sketchbook, ink and mixed coloured pencils. Bitterns, or perhaps more appropriately bitternoid birds, as all of these are more or less improvised and depict no particular species. Been watching a lot of nature documentaries with my parents recently.

Drawings of five water birds with long legs, short tails, and long, curved necks in various poses.

Apologies for the boring dryness of my explanation, I often start responding to those questions that are rhetorical or otherwise self-sufficient! It ★is★ a peculiar meme, and I am still slightly confused about why it exists. And yeah, noticing what's normal for a certain age is tricky.

I think it's about sharing the activities and problems that are relatable to the 30+ adults, the joke being that those age-related markers are either too terrifying or incomprehensible to the younger people. Classic Pear! Classic Stripe! Classic middle-agers!
