Currently in artistic development and exploration, so these days I mostly repost other people’s watercolour paintings. However, I will sometimes reluctantly share the odd drawing or painting of my own (Gatineau/Ottawa 🇨🇦)

I just can’t get enough of this Jadeite Genuine watercolour from Daniel Smith’s Primatek line. #watercolour #watercolor #art #green #jadeite

Just a little layered doodle done with crushed precious gemstones

Happy Halloween! Still life watercolour from earlier this year #watercolour #watercolor

Plastic skull in the back, lit from the right, painted in watercolours in the front

Well, this is possibly the only watercolour I like from the last fifty I made. Yikes. Well, this is what happens when you get pigheaded about keeping on using a palette that doesn’t really work (except here) #watercolour #watercolor #artproblems

« Est-ce l’amour ou l’hydroxyamphétamine? »

(14 cm x 19 cm)

That feeling when you *finally* picked the right colours for a months-long project #watercolour #watercolor #art #artproblems

I took a pic last week of a somewhat similar flower, also with a backlit center

Why wouldn’t you want to draw your own portrait after orthognathic surgery?

Here’s a little watercolour I made back in January. (I’ll post newer stuff soon) #watercolour #watercolor #aquarelle #cactus #lemondeentierestuncactus #art #blueskyart #artsky

Little watercolour of a potted cactus. About 6“x8“.

Le monde entier est un cactus
Il est impossible de s'asseoir
Dans la ville, il y a des cactus
Moi, je me pique de le savoir

Aïe-aïe-aïe
Ouille
Aïe-aïe-aïe

Dans leur cœur, il y a des cactus
Dans leur portefeuille il y a des cactus
Sous leurs pieds, il y a des cactus
Dans leurs gilets, il y a des cactus

Aïe-aïe-aïe
Ouille

Ouille
Aïe-aïe-aïe
Aïe

Le monde entier est un cactus
Il est impossible de s'asseoir
Aïe, il y a des cactus
Moi, j'me pique de le savoir

Aïe-aïe-aïe
Ouille
Aïe-aïe-aïe

Le monde entier est un cactus
Il est impossible de s'asseoir
Dans la vie, il y a des cactus
Moi, je me pique de le savoir

Aïe-aïe-aïe
Ouille
Aïe-aïe-aïe
Aïe-aïe-aïe
Ouille
Aïe-aïe-aïe

Aïe-aïe-aïe

I created a watercolour animation last year. Unfortunately, I cannot upload the animation itself, but here are 4 out of the 84 little paintings I made #watercolor #watercolour #animation #origami #snow #winter #star #aquarelle #neige #hiver

Mélanie @deepinthepaint.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

This whole project showed me I need to learn more about animation, as the result is not nearly as clean as each individual painting was

Graphite rendition of Peter Putnam. First portrait I made in a little while. The likeness is not 100%, but the next one will be better
