Some scribbles when I was trying to figure out how spider kid would move around during the chase in the cold open of the movie.

Four thumbnail drawings of a topheavy figure with no real defining features but two sets of a fake arms attached under their arms. The four drawings depict the figure standing neutral, jumping forwards, squash gather pose, then leap into the air pose.

Trying to update my website so I’m digging through folders on my computer. I never post anything cause I draw while still under NDA and then forget about it. Anyways here’s a cute movie!Craig.

Drawing of Craig from the Craig of the Creek movie when he is younger and his hair is grown out longer, doing finger hearts and with a border outline of stars around his sillouette.

Added pink on top of the bright green to see if I could color match my eyes. Some of the pink stuck around but it’ll probably come out in a few more washes.

Selfie photo of Deena with dyed green sage looking hair with touches of pink tones throughout. Sorta maybe matching the green color of Deena’s eyes.

When we got the handout for the finale, I immediately knew how I wanted to draw the end. This is probably the first sketch ever of that moment. 💕

Photo of a scrap piece of lined paper with a pen sketch of Mortimer, Kelsey, Craig, and JP laying next to each other on the grass with the creek flowing behind them as they look up at the clouds off screen.

I don’t remember what episode or what this was for. But I had multiple drawings of them eating something from Kelsey’s sword??? Honey maybe??

And some Helen’s because I love her so much. These weren’t for anything for the show, just for me.

I was looking for an old photo and instead found a bunch of stuff from when I was working on Craig of the Creek so gonna do a mini photo dump (there’s a lot more but here’s a taste)

Photo of a desk with a bunch of post-it drawings of early character designs of Sparkle Cadet from Craig of the Creek

Photo of a post-it drawing drawing of early character design of Sparkle Cadet from Craig of the Creek

Photo of a post-it with words written on it:

> I am…
> The champion of feeling and positivity
> Warrior against bad vibes throughout the galaxy!
> I am… Sparkle Cadet!
> Nobody can dull my sparkle!

Photo of a printed out template with storyboard squares with postit drawings over the squares and dialogue written below the squares.

Here is a really crappy drawing. Lmao. Maybe some way to angle the plushies so that ones in the back can be elevated vs the ones in the front??

Every time I put on a face mask, it’s like doing delicate surgery making a bunch of strategic cuts to actually have the thing go over my big ass nose and face. Lmao these were not meant for me. 😔

Please watch this show I’ve been very lucky to be storyboarding on!! 😭 💕

Lmao. This is turning into a basketball account. But shout out Thibs, thanks for all your hard work. Here’s a drawing I did from hourly comics day 2024. “I love this man”

Comic panel drawing of an older balding man yelling and having a conniption with the text: “I love this man” at the bottom of the panel.

Trying to remember how my artwork was before working in the industry. It’s natural that your style changes a bit based on what show you’re on. But also felt pretty lost in the personal artwork realm for a long time. Having sketchbooks from decades ago to look at feels really inspiring.

I received some old sketchbooks of mine recently and high school senior Deena had some legitimately cool work.

Another good elimination diet meal. Reintroducing cumin today. Seems OK. I’m sad to report garlic and onion is totally off limits. And tomatoes are on notice.

Photo of a close up in a hobonichi journal entry of a pen and marker drawing of a flatbread folded sandwich labeled with arrows pointing from ingredients in the sandwich:

- Cream Cheese
- Steak with cumin and cayenne pepper
- Pork rind “flat bread”
- Pepperjack cheese
- Hatch chili salsa

Elimination diet got me eating basically just meat and dairy products at the moment while I slowly introduce foods back in. I made an amaaaazinngg breakfast today though.

Picture of a planner with a pen and marker drawing of a sandwich stretched out showing all the layers from top to bottom:
waffle top pointing to a recipe “Chaffle” (makes 4) -1/4 c pork rind crumbles, -1/4 c Parmesan cheese, -2T melted butter, -2 eggs
Egg
Smoked salmon
Cream cheese

Damn today hit me harder than I thought it would. Lmao. Goodbye little creeksona. May you forever be playing in the mud like the feral child you are. 🫡

Close up photo of a small drawing done in a hobonichi diary with grid dotted lines in soft lighting. A line art drawing in pen of one of the Muddy Buddies from Craig of the Creek. The young messy girl with long hair with leaves and sticks sticking out.

I’ve been holding on to this pic for years now, but wanted to share the final drawing I ever did for COTC. Every time we pitched and basically the entire time I worked on this episode, I just cried. I cried the whole time. I love the creek so much and I just wanted us to stay a little bit longer.

Screencap of a drawing done in Storyboard Pro. A heart shaped spotlight with “the” on the left and “end.” on the right. In the middle is a line art drawing of the main characters from Craig of the Creek. JP, Kelsey and Mortimor hugging Craig who is in the middle getting a little squished but holding on to their arms and smiling.

Daydreamin’ about doing dumb little autobiographical comics again. I feel like my soul needs refreshing. But feeling weird about posting art places. Maybe here?

Doodle of cartoonish shorthand drawings of Deena and her spouse in loungewear looking basic and awkward.

Haunted the old CN studio today along with other Animation Workers and heard their experience having their shows canceled, shelved, or disappeared into the ether never to be seen again. #standwithanimation
