I'd been watching it after the 1997 adaptation of #TheOdyssey by the same team, and was shocked at how well both had aged. Miranda Richardson, Martin Short, Helena Bonham-Carter, Rutger Hauer and a young Lena Headey. Contemporary amidst timeless. Book-accurate Armand, a continuing reminder of the Amadeo that might have been during #IWTV and #TheVampireLestat. Antonio Banderas' Armand was an inspiration, and #AssadZaman has managed the same, but that doesn't mean I crave for an accurate depiction of the source. I know AI brain- and energy-resource drain is the devil, but there's something so elating about seeing characters who've existed in your mind for 18+ years suddenly brought to life in a way you never thought possible. #STO #StarTrek
