I agree. I also think those are the sorts of things you have to force out of employers. That means 1) having the self respect and self confidence not to work for free and 2) better organised labour unions.

I expect if you're from an upper middle class family with social connections and want to become a marketing goul, working for free probably still works a decent amount of the time. If that's not you, don't do it.

Young people, please remember that as a worker the only power you have against employers is to withhold your labour. Do not give your labour freely to an employer that sees you as a unit of productivity.
